However, if you like to turn off this feature we show you how to turn on and disable Stolen Device Protection in this video. Keep in mind, there is 1 hour security delay after you turn it off for it to actually turn off completely.

whats this for? i tried to change my apple id password since i lost my iphone 11, its not on the list anymore but its still on my find my. now i try to change to password but when i do its say security delay in progress? will this not affect my the phone im using right now? and will it protect the lost device ?

Hi, in settings I see Privacy & Security, I do not see Face ID & Passcode. In Privacy & Security, I do not see the option Stolen Device Protection, I remember seeing this option when I turned on Stolen Device Protection, but it is not there now to turn if off. I do see an option Safety Check, opening that has message Stolen Device Protection is Active, but I do not see an option to disable Stolen Device Protection.

Solution: to turn on Face ID & Passcode, tap settings, Screen Time, Content & Privacy Restrictions, scroll down to ALLOW CHANGES: set Passcode Changes to Allow. Go back to Settings and you will see Face ID & Passcode where you can Turn Off Protection or update face id and when you done remove Face ID & Passcode from settings again by going back to Screen Time, Content & Privacy Restrictions, and set Passcode Changes to Don't Allow
