To tell the difference between the < sign and the > sign, you can remember the crocodile eats the bigger number. For example, 2 < 6, or x < 16.

how i learned to tell apart the less and more signs in elementary school was like this: imagine the > like a bird's beak. The bird will obviously go to the side that has more food, so the open side is more cause it will go to that side to eat and the sharp side is less :)

Hi, just a question for this topic. How do we decide the number range for the number line?

hi i know you wrot ethis coment two year ago but im going to answer anyways. Ther range of the number line is purley up to you but i would suggest always keeping 2 to 3 number before and after. Eg: if the inequality is -4 is less than x which is less than or equall to 3. The number line would range from -6 till 4.
