👍👍Just purchased this template its the first one i ever purchase & thank God it came out beautiful. Thank you for your time and the tutorial video that walked me through it, gorgeous flower. I printed it on copy paper so i could cut it and then traced it on a thin cardboard paper to make my template after that i traced it on cardstock & cut 3 papers at a time... Not difficult at all... Love it🌷

Thanks Pearl. I used template #8 for the outer ring of petals and template #7 for the inner petals as I'm sloppy and find it hard to keep the base neat, and the one size larger for the outer petals gives the size to fit around it. I have found that most paper will have a right side and a back, the right side may be a little more intense in the colour and usually a smoother finish.

I’m very impressed with your roses. I actually come from an origami background, so the roses I make are out of a single sheet of paper. I’ve seen various tutorials like this one that don’t give the result I’m looking for. I think you made a smart move using a hexagon base. Most other tutorials use square bases, which cause the end result to look more geometric than realistic. I would implement some different ideas if I were to replicate this model, but that’s just me being nit picky, being that I’ve folded paper for so long. I do have one suggestion that I haven’t seen anyone use though, and to be honest I’m not quite sure of it would look better or not. When you make the center, what if instead of bring opposite ends together, you make it like you did all the other layers? I realize if would be slightly more difficult as you would have to take one petal and glue it to another one with nothing to reference the center with, but I think it could give promising results. You’d just have to make sure to overlap far enough over the petals so that the center is tight. Anyway, I really enjoyed this, and it was interesting to watch.
just purchased your template on Etsy and I'm super excited. I have a question though. I am interested in making them the size of your small yellow. 2 1/2 wide... I believe you said. when I print and cut it on my Cricut what measurements do I input? 2 1/2?

Quick question......when I buy your SVG file, instead of vinyl, I just put the card stock on my mat and cut 6 “flowers”???? Thank you so much sweetie!!!!!! ❤️
Hi Chrissy! Absolutely, you will choose your material as cardstock and you can either duplicate 6 pieces of any size on your mat (or as many as will fit) or you can type in the quantity as 6 when you are in the menu to cut out the shapes. Personally, I like arranging the shapes myself so you may have to do 2-3 at a time per sheet (depending on the size of the rose you are making).
