good tips. i've never understood the .99 pricing being considered nearly $1 less by consumers. never has worked for me. i do like that notion that people often think in 5's (though i don't) but will price up in consideration of that. thanks.
Another great video, Crystal! In my rural antique store, I price items a bit lower than what youd pay an hour down the road. I ALWAYS strive for the 3x rule, if not 4x ...for smalls. So always mind what youre paying for the items. However, i will do 2x on larger furniture or display pieces, or something that i think is so unique that it will draw customers in. But thats just every now and again. However, DISPLAY AND CURATING is certainly the real trick! Make the items so cool or cute in their surroundings that the customers just HAVE to have that in their home!
Lots of good information, and things to think about. What sells in one location can vary so much from another, price wise and popularity of certain styles. Thanks for sharing!
Great information and being part of your Facebook group has been wonderful ❤. Everyone is very nice and helpful. I also go to other regional antique vendor malls for inspiration, pricing info and it's free to look but I always seem to bring something home😂. For me or my booth 😊.
Im not my ideal customer. I’m cheap so I could never price things at what i would pay for them. I’ve recently started purchasing things I can sell at 3x if I can’t do that then I won’t pick it up, unless it’s for personal use.
Some people are trying to make a living. If you give it away, you ruin others' businesses. This is just like my photography business no one knows how to price their 'products', And they all think they're photographers or vintage retailers. As for the 3X rule; don't buy it unless you can mark it up at least 3x.

Can't stand it when people are doing this for fun when the rest of us are trying to make a living.
