I too had a similar experience of that what you had...back when i was in 9th std. I cut my hair coz obviously layering was a trend. I had very long thick,straight hair which obviously my mom and grandma was a very big fan of. Then when i cut it, all the thickness went and my hair went too bad. Still im struggling to make my hair better. PS: My mom still get angry while thinking of my layering.
