Enjoyed the video. I like how Mark is always proactive with the maintenance. I’m sure you have avoided break downs because you take such good care of Myles.
We have an older rig and watching your video makes us very thankful that we do not have to deal with that new emission stuff. Thank you for sharing. Great Job finding another Harvest Host to add to the collection. Mary💕Fred
Well done video as you both do every time. Glad you got it covered under warranty… Don Garlits museum is a great place to visit lots of cool drag racing stuff from all the years. We’re in Kansas at the NASCAR race this weekend. Heading back to Florida tomorrow we are stopping at NIRVC in Lawrenceville on the way….safe travels my friends…
Sounds like a great trip! We are in a fair grounds that is having an SCCA event, so we have been taking walks around the track and catching a freebie! Have a great time with the NIRVC family of associates,.........Isn't it a reassuring feeling knowing you bought your rig from the best RV Dealer in the good ole USA?
I was at the same Cummins Service Center in Ocala to have my SCR replaced under the same campaign on Monday of the same week you had your SCR replaced. I have been having Cummins Ocala do some of my annual service since we bought our DP. I have been very satisfied with their service and having the overnight parking makes it easy to plan ahead. One thing that many may not know, the Cummins DEF is very reasonably priced and I typically pick up a couple of bottles while there.
That is good to now! So glad your experience was the same. Usually when their are so many good reviews that look genuine, you are good to go! Telling us all your experience here is an additional boost to folks confidence.
Boy that place you where staying at in the beginning of the vid looks like the nicest place you stayed at. Looks like most of the spots have a small house too. Well by now you are near or back in Milwaukee. If you ever get near Branson Mo. you should check it out. It was fantastic. Lot to see and do. Lots! Plus I saw a lot of rv parks.
You are absolutely correct Gary! Cypress Trail RV Resort is THEE nicest resort we have stayed at,.....all things considered. The people we know there, the pool and hot tub, the parties and dances and even the location near all the action in Ft Myers make it hard to beat!
Great video Mark and Sue! Glad you had the Cummins under warranty. Nothing is cheap anymore! Glad you got that fixed. Glad you were busy while they worked on your rig. Great suggestion for the museum to get part of that Harvest Host. Hope the Cummins is working good. Hope you both have a great week! And see you soon! Safe travels!
It seemed a little odd that I had my rig into so many places, yet no one tipped me off about the campaign. Thank God for irv2.com and all the technical contributors. I wish I could be an informational contributor on the forums,........but I can't ever list my own videos because of the "self-serving" by laws. If I ever make anything you would actually recommend, please link it in the threads for Sue & I. Others can link our videos and website to use,.........just not me!
As always very informative and fun to watch We have a diesel pusher Tiffin Pheaton 2013 now I have to check with hubby it is a Cummins I'm thinking it is ugh 😩 but thanks for the info
Mark I was not aware of the freedom pass through TSD. We have an EZPass and a Sun Pass. However now I’m going to check in to the Freedom Pass to see if we can get away with just one. We also went to the Garlits museum in January. I was pleasantly surprised at how good it really is! Even better that it’s a harvest host location now! We are Winnebago in Forest City the next couple days for some service work. Can’t wait to see their reaction to my PREVOST lettering on my Winnebago! Safe travels to you and Sue. Alaska here we come😂
Yes, it worked great for us going from Ft Myers to WI. I wrapped up the old transponders in Faraday Bags and I have them in my sock drawers for a rainy day!
Nice video! I saw the Don Garlits museum last year as we toured through Florida. We spent the night at that Cracker Barrel. Great POI with free boondocking nearby. I have to wonder, if you can afford such a nice diesel pusher, why can't you afford prescription polarized sunglasses with Rayban frames? I think you'd like them, and you'd look cool too. Cheap sunglasses over prescription clear glasses is really hokey. Time to step up!
We don't feel buying is for us,........that would make us want to stay in one spot too long. That already happens due to returning to our home town every year, and the "hiding from winter" snow bird thing. We view our "window of opportunity in life" to move and travel IS NOW. Admittedly, it is not a good financial decision, but we are living the dream!
I am so confused. Which do I like more........setting the air brake in the opening, or Big Daddy making a 7 second pass down the drag strip. Hmmmmm? Maybe you could give us a rocket launch from the Cape while down there. Sweet music!
Another great video filled with nuggets of advice. Question: Does the Freedom Pass give the same discounted tolls as, for instance, the I-Pass does for using it for tolls?
Yes, absolutely! I asked the following question to Tara Girod-Rape who is administering the program: "Is the toll charge the higher “cash” price for the toll, (or the higher “Pay by Mail” charge),……... or the lower transponder price a regular transponder would be charged because it is a better system for the state. I know there is no negotiated discount by TSD, nor would I expect one,…… People just want to be assured that THIS transponder's rates are not any different than each states NORMAL transponder rates." Her reply: "So the answer I got from Best Pass on this question is we don't have any special TSD discounted rates. You will be charged at the rate set by that tolling authority. The roads do go by weight and axle count so it will recognize when you are not in the RV vs your tow vehicle. They are not any different than each states normal "transponder rates. "
They are listed in our Amazon Store, under our Black Water System Equipment section. I think they are called oil filter pliers. That's why they open so wide. When you start using these, you will hear angels sing everytime things come apart easy!
@@rodwilliams2782 We had our windshield replaced in Episode 164 in a CG in Valencia CA. In Hudson FL we had the drivers side window thermopane cleaned and resealed.
Ya know you two I’ll pass a little info to ya. I rv part time and retired 39 1/2 years over the road trucking and my last truck was a 2017 with the six Cummins. Beings I’ve been dealing with emissions since 2009 I spent countless down hours and loss of income to the trucks I paid to do an emissions delete on the 2017. 3,000 to do it but at the end of the day no loss revenue or down time and the actual cost’s of having the stuff out weighed the delete cost plus fuel mileage went up. Yeah naughty but hey it was worth it. Now they’ll tell ya that any Cummins authorized won’t work on it if you have someone delete for you but 99% of the time they turn the other cheek. Been there. Just thought I’d pass it on to ya as I have a few others. But when that check engine light comes on and you look to see what codes pop up you’ll be in a somewhat state of panic.$$$.
I understand doing this when you are logging tons of miles and it is your livelihood! I am just trying to keep the RV in good OEM shape for the day when I have to sell this puppy to the next gal or guy!
That is reason i just purchase 2004 Monaco Signature with Detroit 60 series , no DEF and Detroit 60 any good truck mechanic can fix ,mind you in my experience those engines can go 500.000km without any problem.
Enjoyed the video. I like how Mark is always proactive with the maintenance. I’m sure you have avoided break downs because you take such good care of Myles.
That's the plan Rob, but I'm sure my turn in the barrel will happen eventually.
Love how Sue puts a camera into your hands just to keep you out of her way as she prepares the bus for travel. She is one smart cookie.
Trust me,...I still get in the way!

This is my second issue with the emissions stuff. Last time it was a NOX sensor and I had to pay!

Hey Mark love your vid’s. Did I notice when Miles was pulled out of the service bay your steps were still out?
Wow! You are good. I cut that segment short because the tech didn't have the door latched all the way. Twenty feet later the door popped open!

We I drove from FL to WI with the new SCR, so I'm guessing the repair was done solid. Working on getting my SeeLevel Tank Gauges working again.
