I really love that you included in where you tore the cake, it actually made me want to try this because the entire time I was thinking there's no way I could do this without messing it up and then when you accidentally tore it I realised even if I messed up I could probably find a way to hide it. This looks so delicious too btw!
+shego1142 just think if it's Halloween themed, you could tint a little bit of the frosting red... thin it with a little heavy whipping cream and drizzle it in the tears to make it look like zombie wounds and stuff! Always you can fix an oopsie and make it great! Love that she is real with her baking... all the perfectionists and I'm like....nope doesn't happen that way! LOL

+walter grove Thank you, yes I agree cake rolls can be tricky, especially if you over bake them, they can loose some of the elasticity so they tear and stuff, no big deal though. Enjoy the Fall.

Hi, I tried to do this twice, but the figures stuck to the paper completely in one and in the other one some of them got stuck to the paper and it was impossible to separate them from it, any advice on what to do to prevent this? Really want to do one for christmas
Hi Margarita, I'm not sure what could be the problem, maybe it's a type of the parchment paper? Maybe try buttering the paper and dusting it with little flour would help. Sorry wish I could be more of help. Alternatively you could try freezing the pattern instead of baking.

Was is it hot when you tried to roll it? I wonder it is possible that it was maybe a little over baked? When it dries too much then it could crumble.
