I went to Indonesia last year, vlogged a bit in Bali and the capital city Jakarta and I was shocked 😮to see the similarities between my country (South Africa) and Indonesia. Both Indo and SA were colonized by the DUTCH years ago which not many people know.
In terms of MONEY 🤑The middle class people are falling away here too and in a couple years from now there will be no more middle class people. We can already see it though which is why the rich people are SUPER rich and the poor people are SUPER poor😖 I often take food to the homeless but never money cause they usually use it for drugs.
South Africa's "Afrikaans" language and Indonesia's "Bahasa" language has some of the exact same words and almost 100% same pronunciation of the alphabet. Even tho SA has 11 different languages, one of the top 3 languages called "Afrikaans" comes from Dutch which is why there are similarities.
There are maaaany other similarities between SA and Indo though like 1) Accents can be very loud and super high pitch 2) Very dirty culture habits (pollution) in certain groups of each country. etc....
Anyway, just thought I'd share some random interesting facts😅
