30, got married 2 months ago. Wanted to show some old memories to my wife. Took out my drive and showed her some pictures. Came across my playlist from 2011 and found this GOLD! Then in India we had to download songs from a cyber cafe so that we could listen to them all day long. OLD days!
Random songs found on limewire back in like 2004 or 2005 introduced me to Goldspot. Oh those warm summer years, those times spent outside and with music like this.
I have some good memories of using Limewire too. Almost every other song could be found on Limewire. I remember Listening to all these good songs on my Sony Walkman without a worry in the world. No mobile phones, no money in pocket, just pure bliss chilling with friends outside listening to these gems. Music was good back then. Good times!
This song just came back to my mind randomly after 12 years. It's Friday today. I was walking to the toiled and I said "today is Friday (pause) it is my day" and wallah here i am. I won't loose this song again now
I think it evokes a sense of nostalgia beyond words and dreams. At the same time caresses the purest need of every man, his mother. When he sings "kings and dreams and make believers" he talks of the forgotten/unfogotten lands of childhood.
I used to listen to this back in the day when I was just a kid and started learning guitar.. Now it's been 12 years and things have changes so much and I barely get time to even touch the guitar. Hearing this now just fills me with such a beautifully heartbreaking melancholy, a saudade for back when life was simple. I don't know if these guys are still making music, but I'd like them to know that the made something that still means a lot to me.
The string section for this version is done by A.R.Rahman and his string orchestra...golden touch to the song! watever ppl say that man is pure musical genius...btw goldspot is an act to luk up to, they r gonna blow it big anytime soon, awsum song!
I used to listen to this song when I was 13yrs... Then I forgot the name and searched numerous times and after almost 7yrs i finally found it. It's like meeting a friend after a long time..
Thank you lord 😔i have been searching this song many many year , was typing this song like "you come alone to me" but it never show .... This is my childhood memories....❤️
So heavy sixties-seventies bollywood music influence in the song...the starting as well as the violin piece...even Sidhartha (the lead singer) acknowledges that...love this band...
I remember this song played on VH1, when ever friday comes I'll be singing this song with my elder brother in Jowai. Been searching this song for years until finally found it.
Today is friday, it is my day to do what I want Mama can tell me that I'm goin nowhere, I'm just a prisoner of my fate Would you come along, bring me in Would you come along, bring me in Bring me in Today if friday, it is my day to disappear To kings and queens and make-believe and the demons in my head Would you come along, bring me in Would you come along, bring me in Bring me in If you were around in my sleep If you could be found in my sleep Give me a sign Give me a sign Today is friday, it is my day to live a simple life Put on my make-up, dress up in color Maybe you might see me down here Could you come along, bring me in Would you come along, bring me in Bring me in If you were around in my sleep If you could be found in my sleep Give me a sign Give me a sign Maybe we'll walk into the rain To ease what's on my mind- You both hand in hand And you're living your life over again Today is friday, it is my day to live a simple life Put on my make-up, dress up in color Maybe you might see me down here Can you come along, bring me in Will you come along, bring me in Bring me in
People who're wondering why such a great song is not THAT famous yet please note that great artists and their music is often underestimated by the masses under the pretext that they don't have that many followers and stuff but when we get signed, the haters turn into lovers! lol. Who knows how many Beatles and U2s went unnoticed. I humm this track when on my way to office, on most Fridays. Wish you luck...
After a decade listening to this master piece .... Rejoiced my college time ... This should have been released in today time... @goldspotofficial i would recommend you all to remake or relaunch the same song ... Would be waiting ..
2022 April.... It comes into my mind, but it has given me beautiful memories ❤️❤️❤️... Made my childhood so dreamy... Dont know where that melody has gone..... Superb song & great taste.
makes me smile every Friday - and I listen to it every Friday and so does my daughter (we share our Friday moment even though we are separated by hundreds of miles).
2020: Once in a couple of years this song comes into my mind then I come here to listen this... Reminds me of my school days! Will be back to this thread in a couple of years. 😁
I Was just laying on my bed and from nowhere this song came into my head. Use to listen to this song when I was small just like the kids in this video. It's so sad to know that this band is so so underrated, was expecting at least 2m views on this song.😢
i just discovered this band a few days ago and i've been listening to tally of the yes men on repeat. thank you for making my endless school days feel a bit lighter.
I always listen to this song each Friday for positive boost up. Everytime I listen this song and start my works it is always successful. I always felt a good connection with this song. Then I checked my birth date which is 18/10/1996 which was also Friday. Thanks for this beautiful song.
Seriously man...I couldn't agree more. Specially the kind of fusion between the Indian and western music that these guys do is pretty unique. Would love to hear them more :)
Crazy how this wasn't appreciated when it came out...... Probably coz there were many good rock artists at that time but now?? I'll do anything for such music

Those were the days.
Limewire was like a School of Rock for me... Miss those days
The old vH1 vibes. The orange blue logo and probably the best part of a 90's kid's life. This song just takes me back...!

Bring me in
If you were around in my sleep
If you could be found in my sleep
Give me a sign
Give me a sign
Maybe we'll walk into the rain
To ease what's on my mind-
You both hand in hand
And you're living your life over again

Put on my make-up, dress up in color
Maybe you might see me down here
Can you come along, bring me in
Will you come along, bring me in

amidst all the grown-up-problems, this song is a reminder of a carefree childhood and the happy child i was. pure joy.
