That is a beautiful piece. Excellent call on making the shape simple and letting the character of the wood speak for itself.

ah yes! the Zombie Harpooon. (5000 series). I made that as a joke initially but as it happens it is fairly good for making tenons and mortices! ha ha

You got some finesse! No stabilization... And it didn't fly off 11 times.. Well done!

This is quite beautiful. That wood is a stunner. Also, I very much like your choice of music. The 1st song "Wastland" especially.

Thanks Amy! I liked that one to. I think it set the tone in the beginning.

I like how you started the larger Forstner bits so you had that reference shoulder to go back to when you stepped back up. That's ho I'd do it! I also have a little flexible air nozzle setup with a ball valve and a magnet. I stock it to my lathe bed and blow a gentle stream of air onto the back of the forstner bit. Clears the chips and keeps the bit cool!

thats a good idea. I do often use my air nozzle but I like the approach you are suggesting!

I checked your Etsy shop … is this going to for sale? I will buy it immediately if it is, please let me know!!! It is a phenomenal piece of work … that upper side white spot was challenging you, but you didn’t let it win! Please let me know, thank you.
