So now we can’t call out mistakes. “Calling out ” when something happens in the moment is different from “Looking for ”. it’s perfectly fine for everybody else to do it to Gamb though lol.
Me and my LB had this same conversation 2 weeks ago. It takes the fun out of listening to enjoy when everyone is listening to critique.
@deshawngreer5345 I've said this numerous times on many other videos across a few years now, but this is why I don't engage in conversations with people about almost anything. It's not hard sometimes to tell the difference between statements made out of a genuine passion for something and statements made that are nit-picking, or biased in one way or another. Over the last two decades, I've come to honestly not care about any band as I've got nothing to gain or lose by pointing out strengths or weaknesses. This goes for SWAC, MEAC, etc. Being perfectly honest, ai haven't been impressed with any college level band in many years.I say great job to both of these bands and the people who found something productive to do with their time. Sometimes I wished I could practice and crank up with an alumni band. There's nothing wrong with enjoying life.
🤦🏾♂️This is a battle...When people go head to head there is a winner and a 2nd place.We decide the winner by .making critical judments.From an entertainment perspective both bands showed out but for me GAMB took the cake with their ballads and that Harry Potter theme gave me chills like I was watching a movie trailer in an Imax theater😂

My nonbiased opinion:
Pound for Pound & for their overall better attacks & articulation I got NOASB for the win! HOWEVER, for variety of music aswell as dynamic contrast I got GAMB for the win! BOTH bands were EXCELLENT!!! I think both should add a March to their repertoire for next year's contest! It would be VERY interesting to hear each play one....🤔 Great job!!!
I’ve watched killakev showtime Lamiks A1media and smashtime….oh and showtimes live…the live did neither band any Justice… GAMB sounds very balanced for their size…NOLA we expected to come with the heat…overall the goal was to come to GA and embarass them for what happened in Nola…IMPO power wise…BOTH BANDS 🔥🔥🔥🔥 but nola didn’t over power that GA muscle…Music wise I preferred more GA selections…and both bands played music and both band played hella half and whole notes not just GA…but I will say where was this GA last week maybe it was the hour wait😢😂😅
GAMB had alot of this stuff already in the works as far as song selection. And it could be executed!! It was decided to save it for NOLA.

Yea man. I have to admit when i saw how small NOASB was i was a bit worried, But then again i know how dangerous they are when they're small. Soon as i heard them play their real song after Gamb, i knew they were going to be a major problem for GAMB.. I believe GAMB thought by making their band extremely massive, they would intimidate other bands and give them a win over them, but it only made the bands more aggressive. And seeing such smaller Bands like MMB and especially NOASB smack such a massive GAMB around. Just the visual of that alone made the ass whooping look more intense.

Most of the band world thought that GA was soft(up until a very short while ago) but our educators taught us to set ourselves above as musicians and that is exactly what is being exposed…it’s beautiful thing…ain’t nothing soft about GAMB sound
Nobody don't hate GAMB. It's just that seeing GAMB in 2022 left extremely high expectations now seeing them much much larger. But because they're not what they were in 2022, Seeing smaller bands smack them around like they did. The visual of that alone shocked people.
No, I think these other bands leveled up. They had to adapt, GAMB comes really different, dark sounds, odd notes, sometimes symphonic feels, and unique song selection. It has caused the culture to develop.

@rayd6400 They really were. It was clear off rip that they had it on their mind and wanted this bad. It really came to how memorable the pieces were to me. New Orleans would have a nice song, then GAMB would match it in quality and then have a wild moment that brought them over the edge to me. I think the song choices and selections were better last year, but you could really feel the energy through the screen this year. Really wish I organized my time better to be a part of it, or at least see it in person

Dude, Every year, except maybe 1 or 2 years, NOASB has always played Jumpstart as an opener. it's traditional. Not to mention, they didn't even really blow it at GAMB, they just played it, so GAMB would attack so they can strike hard. which is what they did, like always.

If we going by titans from Attack on Titan, NOASB is the Armored Titan and did some major damage to GAMB. Arrangements, power, instrumentation, everything was great 🔥💪🏾. GAMB is the Colossal Titan because of its big size and it can do good damage to smaller bands weaker than NOASB. Their arrangements are top tier so don’t sleep on them mfs. This was the real David vs Goliath battle and it was way better than last year 🔥.

GAMB-Mellos and early horns on some songs

You clearly weren't there in person. No video camera or mic can fully capture the power that came out of either bands' horns. GA's sound was definitely 2x more powerful than NO's collectively. But NO's baritones were pushing though!

they only had so many busses so some folks had to drive up to ATL so they def small for this battle but if it was at they house they would be huge like last year
N.O. definitely outplayed GA. Gamb had numbers but N.O. had a better sound and was just as loud... I was on the field in the paint
