Incidentally, a turbocharger tends to quiet the exhaust more than a non-turbo, so prepare for a louder exhaust with the non-turbo 2.5. Also, generally speaking and all other things being equal, a single exhaust is louder than dual exhaust.

This isn't an ad, it's an honest recommendation; get a Stage 3 performance chip from Thorton Chip Tuning. Probably the best, cheapest upgrade you can make! Plug it in for a 60 HP gain, and you're done!✌️
I literally have the corkscrew tab open in my browser waiting to pull the trigger on the cat back, but i really like the sound of this and id rather spend less and get an axel back
i did axelback also with no muffler and it got some burble at low rpm shifting from 2-1. Was running 95 then change to e20 and had a bit more burble and was easier to reach top speed. around 4-6hp increase from 95 to e20 because of the ethanol

Not sure if I’ll ever do an exhaust, since i only have the base 2020 FWD model with no turbo or anything, but I wanna run a roof rack and some underglow in the future when I’m less broke from college :) Edit: I’m guessing this was fairly expensive considering how niche the market for this car is 😅

Have you driven it on a highway yet for a decent distance? Just curious if you find there is drone and whether or not its annoying. Saw some people complaining that there is some drone with the axle back.
There is no droning with this exhaust from my experience. I've driven it on a 3-hour road trip TWICE since the installation, and I use this car as my daily. It is beautiful and I highly recommend it! :D MSG on discord or Instagram if you wanna chat more! (Info in bio)

I’m not a good tech guy, but I was curious if this particular exhaust system would be compatible with a brand new 2023 model? I feel like it would be, but I’d rather check to make sure before I even considered buying one.
It is completely compatible, they havnt changed the build since the 2020 model of the car. Install the axel back exaust. It's affordable, and easy to install

@@ItsPaulThomas oh I haven't changed anything, yet my turbo gives me below 20s and I don't even drive that aggressively. Maybe it's due to lots of stop and go city traffic plus the cold weather.

I want one of these so bad but they have the single worst exhaust note of any in line 4 out there literally any German i4 sounds thousand times better especially with a dual clutch. If there is any way to make this thing not sound like a vacuum cleaner somebody please let me know
I’ve been thinking about doing this to my FWD 2020 CX-30, but it’s not a turbo… is it worth doing? I want it to sound better and perform a little better, but I feel like I’d get looked down on for “ricing” up my car. If I did an exhaust I’d probably do the intake too just to complete it and make it better, but again, just not sure if I’d get shit about it. Wanna be able to show up to car meets 🥲 Regardless I love the car and I’m gonna make it last, I just hope to mod it to make it more exactly what I’m wanting to get from it.
Honestly, you shouldn't get any hate. People are lame if they do hate... and also, the exhaust should sound REALLY nice without a turbo engine. unfortunately, the turbo makes the exhaust quieter. Give it a go!
I would try getting the stock mid pipe resonator removed first at a local muffler shop. See how that sounds and if you want more, they do something like this. You would be surprised how much resonator deletes add a nice tone

The exhaust is two bolts and a few hangers..... Universal.
Mazda is user friendly.
