Since I am 72 years old I remember the times that my family traveled from Los Angeles California to Cleveland Ohio by train in the early 1960s. On the part of the trip from Los Angeles to Chicago our family road on the Santa Fe El Capitan with the Hi-Level cars. These railroad passenger cars by Santa Fe have disappeared into the past.
Nice to see the Sky Lounge (which would become Amtrak's Pacific Parlor cars before being retired by 2020) in HO scale. I very much miss the real thing.
The tooling on the cars and engines look great, but Walthers swung and missed with that dark red on the warbonnet. WAY too dark. Should have alot more orange in it.
What a great looking layout and the le Captain is one of the greatest looking passenger trains

Magnificent layout. We all respect your talent , time , and labor ...thankyou !
Impressive!
It's a beautiful train. Almost makes up for those time period inaccuracies in the layout.
Love it! It's a good looking train.
If you ever wonder how Amtrak got those Hi Level cars we see today, here is the grandfather of them all! enjoy

As a fellow TNMRC member, mighty fine job with the video!

LOVE IT!
Your tinted cars look fabulous! I wonder why Walthers didn't do that for all the El Capitan cars? Walthers' Amtrak Superliners are tinted.
Me either, would have been a great edition
I plan to save up my money to get all the cars that made up the Super Chief.
