Hello, and welcome back to SUMO PRIME TIME! It’s been a while, but we’re here again, this time covering the final grand sumo tournament of the year-the Kyushu Basho, which kicked off on November 10 in Fukuoka. With a few exciting newcomers and a newly promoted Ozeki stepping into the ring, we’re ready for more surprising upsets and twists in this year’s sumo finale. While it’s disappointing that Yokozuna Terunofuji is sitting out for the second consecutive tournament, fans are eager to see if the newly promoted Ozeki Onosato can seize this chance to capture his second consecutive and third overall title. We’ve already seen some magnificent performances from many stars on opening day, and the excitement promises to continue for the next 14 days in Fukuoka. Stay tuned to the Kyushu Basho and feel the thrill all the way to the end!
Great introduction, please have the daily contents uploaded "DAILY" in YouTUbe, not 2-3 days later, or at least have them current in NHK's website, for fans of sumo outside of Japan it's very difficult to keep up with the basho.
It's nice seeing Wakatakakage back towards the top of the Banzuke! I really hope he can make Ozeki soon! It wasn't until he got injured that a bunch of folks started getting promoted to Ozeki =P
So glad to see this basho begin! Love seeing Hoshoryu get a win on the first day. My money is on Onosato for the Cup. Thank you for these video updates!
From Pro Debut to Ozeki in just 9 Tournaments! Wow, what a record-breaking for Onosato. Anyway, we need new Japanese Yokozuna in Reiwa Era as we still looking forward. Thank you😊🙏
Hakkeyoi, let's GOOOO!!! This looks to be a fascinating tournament with great storylines. So nice to see all three Ozeki off to a good start. Takerufuji is going to feast down at the bottom of Makuuchi. it is possible that he could win the yusho; he has beaten Onosato. I was glad to see Wakatakakage show up for work on day 1, although I adore Kirishima too. I hate it when two of my favorite guys fight, but that's sumo. One of them has to lose. I hope that Kirishima will bounce back quickly. I want him to contend for the yusho and regain his Ozeki rank sooner rather than later. Thirteen wins here would do it, or strong double-digit performances in November and January. I am thrilled to see Aonishiki debuting in Juryo with a strong day 1 win. He is going to be very, very good. I also hope that Hakuoho can maintain his momentum going into day 2.
As much as I wish the Yokozuna a fast recovery and hope he makes it into this tournament, I am looking forward to how the 3 ozeki will perform. It will make for very exciting sumo
Are you following Aonishiki, also from Ukraine? He is making his Juryo debut this basho and won his first bout. He has lost four times in his entire pro career.
Ah, you're back. There were barely any posts since the previous basho. (Those between-basho videos that provide a bit more insight into the sumo world are actually more interesting to me than ones like this one, because I watch all the bouts elsewhere anyway.)
My two favourite rikishi are Wakatakakage and Kirishima. It was hard to watch their match. At least they won't face each other again during this tournament.
YAY for "Golden Boy" Hoshoryu❤. Some ppl don't like him for his gamemanship but OH WELL. The psychological tactics are a force in sumo. His fierce "gameface" turns a few people off but SO WHAT?? Off the dohjo he is a fun guy with A GREAT SMILE...handsome too. Hope he does well to make his uncle proud....and when he does I will say to his detractors-NA NA NAH NA NAH NA❤😂
Terunofuji may be done. I wish for his recovery, his knees are in very poor condition and diabetes is a very serious concern as well - I suspect we will see a retirement and promotion in January.
Has the JSA given up on international audiences? There's not been a video about the final day of the Kyushu Basho which finished nearly 36 hours ago now, and there's barely any content being posted between tournaments either - what gives?

Hiro I hope you will give a spot to Aonishiki debuting as a sekitori.
Really a promising young talent.

I liked the new format, but would like to see all the day’s matches.
Muchas atención con Wakatakakage y takerufuji, uno de los dos seguro que gana, a Onosato lo veo en 3er lugar

All support for Shishi and Ukraine!

I have been missing your content. Less videos. Could you do an episode on Sumo school and maybe show a graduation ceremony if there is one. Thanks

Im rooting for Onosato

Takerafuji is one to watch , although he does have very weak looking legs from the knee down.

UKRAINE !!!!
The sound mix is all over the place, it sounds really amateur. The music volume is way too high. This sounds amateurish :/
