It's strange running across this video again, it brings up memories I almost forgot that I ever had. This was the first Icon For Hire song I heard, I was sitting on my bed in my barracks room wandering through the vast sea of music here on TH-cam in a depressive state, worried about losing my job, my friends, my sanity, my health, and my sense of self-worth, far away from my family and feeling more alone than I had since I was a teenager and the only one I could talk to about my struggles in life was my dog, and I came upon this video and thought "hey, this is a pretty cool band", and felt compelled to find more even though it wasn't really the kind of music I'd usually listen to. Now I sit on a different bed thousands of miles and many years separated from where I was, having finally been brought around here again by TH-cam's algorithm, and I'm reminded of all the struggles, the losses, and the slow but painful triumphs that I've had in my life in that time, and I'm honestly not sure if I'd have come through it all without this music. There's a power in the words and in the feeling behind them that permeates through all of their songs that I can't quite explain, but which always gives me that little bit extra that I need to push through into tomorrow. I'll never be able to thank them properly for the outsized impact something so deceptively small as listening to some music has had on my life, but at least I can leave an overly long and maybe somewhat overly-sharing comment that they'll likely never see, so that's what I'll do. Icon Forever.

I'm 350 lbs ish... I want a motorcycle, I wish I could wear sweet punk / goth influenced clothing like I once did, I wish I could walk around with out a shirt on. But guess what? I don't do any of that. Why? Because I know I am large, and I feel like being courteous and not submitting the world around me to the horrors of what I just stated above. Not only that, but if I laugh like crazy when I see a fat ass on a scooter / motorcycle (crotch rocket specifically), I can't help but burst out laughing. Why would you subject yourself to the same situation? If I see fat asses that do cosplay. At least do it well... don't fucking stitch some blankets / construction paper together and run around jiggling all over the place like a fucking moron. Fat people should only be allowed to cosplay Majin Buu, with a pink dildo stuck to there forehead. It's an easy costume to do, just paint your body pink, and a dildo. And strap it to your head. Done.

Onno Kul Actually, I consider all three albums equal. Icon has never been a rock band. They have been an alternative band since the beginning. Also, they are much better as an alternative band than a rock band. The people who prefer Scripted are clearly only in it for the rock sound. I am in it for the sound, and I enjoy how all of their songs sound, but I am not strictly a fan of rock, I love alternative.
