Grace marks were awarded to compensate for the lost time at six centers where the exam began late on May 5. "At least 52 per cent -- 813 out of 1,563 candidates -- appeared for the retest on Sunday," a senior official said.

Reneet will never happen
Govt will not allow reneet to happen they will put the blame on NTA and say one or two incidents of paper leak happend and they try to settle this issue... Future of students nothing for them.

@@zoramchhana4512 they got grace marks just for one question. Even after deducting grace marks if they are getting good medical college then there is no point taking the exam again.

It is injustice to Reneet only to 1563
Without reneet for all nothing is gonna happen .... Example if 1563 students lets assume all gave 650+ are removed then also your rank will improve by 1563 but that is not the reality ranks have shot upto 4x 5x in each mark range....so reneet should be for all
Its unfair to save 50% May be 1 of them didn't cheat....Maybe one from the other 50% which is save have cheated. Re test should be for everyone..

@@vijayabaskarans9551 you are thinking about yourself. Even my child has 672 marks and still not getting the college she deserves. You know how many fake enteries could be there, bcoz of that you might also have not got the rank which you are supposed to get. For some ones mistake we are facing the brunt now. So for everyone's betterment Reneet will be the best option, so dont become self centered think in a broad perspective, justice for the deserved ones.

Two important points:
1. Approximately, 12 lakhs students NOT QUALIFIED in NEET UG 2024........
2. Among qualified students (Around 12 lakhs), the issue is ONLY related with the students having AIR up to 2 lakhs due to unexpected hike in AIR.
So, investigations or any kind of government decision should be in favour of the students who secured AIR up to 2 lakh.
For this, identify the students who has done any kind of cheating and cancel their earlier published results.
Be pin pointed.
No doubt, reforms are necessary for the conduct of such kind of entrance examinations.
Only top 2 lakh students should be allowed to give reneet. It will save a lot of time and money as well. And anyways , most of the people who got rank more than 2 lakh, won't be able to do good in the re exam as well
No Reneet sir please understand ,if reneet is necessary genuine students who got seats are suffer for life time.
No RENEET for all. Thorough CBI investigation and remove benefited candidates from rank list. Candidates those who worked hard and cracked NEET 2024 shall not be affected by any means.
Please note, this year the paper difficulty level was very easy and therefore most of the students scored 550 plus.
