Bisping with another hometown decision. Got grapplefucked by Matt Hamill, outstruck by Anderson Silva and flattened in rounds 1, 2 and outpointed in round 5 by Henderson. Yet the British judges wanted to make sure Bisping got the W in each of those fights. Bisping = paper champ.

While a knockdown shouldnt by default win a round on its own, if the opponent landed insignificant strikes in terms of not doing damage, then the shot that literally puts an opponent on the mat should be the dictating factor.

Bisping may have won the scoring contest. Fine, whatever. But he lost the fight. He had to go to the hospital and Dan looked like he had just done a light workout, not a scratch on him. Bisping has figured out how to beat the system. Judges hardly ever give 10-8 rounds and Bisping to his credit has excellent cardio, so he just has to survive an ass beating in the first and second rounds and then barely win rounds 3, 4, and 5 simply by throwing more strikes regardless if they land or actually do damage. That's exactly how he "beat" Anderson as well.
His eye was damaged, that's why he went to the hospital, especially since he already has eye issues. Henderson took a ton of damage to the body all fight. Bisping was the clear winner for anyone watching this neutrally.

His face will be a mess after the fight, but that damage came from one round, when he won every other round. To sum it up, they score the fight round by round, not by how someone's face looks or how beat up they look.

I have too much respect for Bisping but Dan was the real winner, this old man is living legend.
Bisping may have won the scoring contest. Fine, whatever. But he lost the fight. He had to go to the hospital and Dan looked like he had just done a light workout, not a scratch on him. Bisping has figured out how to beat the system. Judges hardly ever give 10-8 rounds and Bisping to his credit has excellent cardio, so he just has to survive an ass beating in the first and second rounds and then barely win rounds 3, 4, and 5 simply by throwing more strikes regardless if they land or actually do damage. That's exactly how he "beat" Anderson as well.
