I bought the gray one today. I play handheld 95% of the time so I traded my day 1 OG switch in for it. It’s SOOOO much more comfortable and I don’t feel in need to set it down gingerly or handle it with kid gloves. Loving it so far. If I get one for the tv again the plan is wait for a “pro” switch for that. Highly recommend.

I traded in my original switch for a lite today I don't regret my decision one bit I only ever used my switch in handheld and the dock was never took out of the plastic wrapper. It's so much more comfy
My girlfriend gets super mad when I play my OG Switch in bed because of my frantic Tetris 99 button pushing with the Joy Con buttons. Softer buttons = less angry gf. Less angry gf = nice gf in the morning. In short, the softer buttons are a great practical choice for the everyday cohabiting bedtime gamer!

The Switch Lite is lighter, thus easier to hold for longer periods of gameplay. That makes the Switch lite a better handheld console than the OG Switch. (Which, to my opinion, still is a good handheld) I also got my Switch lite today, and I noticed it instantly in Mario Kart, playing handheld feels better. I don't really notice it in other games though. To me the Switch lite is the perfect 3DS replacement, and the Switch OG is the perfect Wii U replacement.

Unfortunately with my switch the flex on the joycons is a little too much, and will sometimes disconnect in the middle of gameplay. So I'm planning on getting a Lite.

When you are playing in school with normal Nintendo Switch and teacher hears that clicks. And my friend with Nintendo Switch lite played peacefully and teacher didn't noticed by the way I was mad because teacher taked it away. But got it back.
There's a few games that I like playing better in Handheld mode rather than docked. And feel like some games actually look a bit better in Handheld mode.
The lite is not a console,it is a stripped down now junky handheld that cries out im defunct unlike the real me,the actual switch that actually lives up to it’s name. This and that waist crap thingy are some of the worst things ninty has done in many years.

The switch uses micro switches, which is unusual for Nintendo they usually use rubber domes and the rubber domes work better for a d pad because it's easier to press two at a time. I'm glad they have gone back.
Alex wasn’t kidding about some games having text that’s hard to read. Some games are optimised for the TV and those games are really difficult to read on the Lite’s screen. Apart from that, it’s amazing! It’s best as a companion device though, which is how Nintendo are marketing it.

I don't get the peeps who complain about the Lite missing some features. Get the regular Switch if the Lite doesn't cut it for you. The Lite isn't meant to be a "Switch Slim" remodeling. It's a damn handheld. The end.
I just got one noew in 2022 to fill the void of not being able to find a PS5 and wanting to play some different games for awhile instead of playing my PS4... really really enjoying it. I love not having to go to a certain room to play it. I have it next to me while I'm working and if I want to play for 10 minutes I just pick it up, play, and turn it off. So convenient. The smaller screen is absolutely fine. No issue at all. The build is nice. I have no real complaints as I knew exactly what I was getting with this thing. It's fantastic.

I'm an adult and the Litter is my only Switch so I can't really compare. I'm a big guy and it works very well for me. I'm almost completely blind but the screen is good enough for me especially with the zoom feature. I'm used to things like the game boy series so I don't miss the rumble and it's great when the wife wants to use the tv. I can still get in my hand. The battery life which I've heard some complaints about lasts me just find. I play of and on all day and only have to charge mine once daily. Thank you for the vids! Everyone's got the yellow. Tbh I have an original Switch and won't buy this one because its pointless to me. If I got a new one in future I'd go for the better battery normal Switch. Although I only use handheld. I'd also get the Pokémon edition if I was getting a Lite.
Same like I play in both in handheld and t.v mode equally and I'm sticking with the original switch unless I can somehow get the newer version of the switch and plus I don't like the idea of switching between the two switches like having a home switch and to go one when you can just have one of them in the first place. I'm 20 and live on my own with other 4 people my age. We don't have a TV so I decided to go with the Pokémon Edition of the Switch lite. Since I can't play docked it was a great choice, also 100 euros less
From what I’ve heard, the less clicky buttons were designed to be quieter and unobtrusive when playing in public, as you probably will be with a portable console. That’s the only reason I can think of.
Veganism Kills ok, it’s fine if you want to play by yourself and could care less about tv, but it’s missing a lot of versatility. You can’t do too many things with it, and some games won’t work on it unless you get joycons, even though those are a tiny amount. Also, it loses the ability to be set on a table, so no playing with friends. It doesn’t come with joycons, so you need to get some, and it doesn’t have a kickstand, and the small screen is what hammers in the fact that this is not a good system to play mario party or Mario kart on, and Mario kart is one of the most popular games to play with friends. You can’t hook up usb controllers because it can’t dock, but that doesn’t matter, because if you use a separate controller it won’t be too enjoyable because no kickstand unless you buy a case. You can get a grip for it, but you can also get a grip for the old Nintendo switch. Edit: grammar
...and just to think there was so much opposition to the idea of a smaller portable version when the original was announced. The irony isn't lost on me. I love this portable version.
I recently had my 12 b-day party. I got over $150 dollars in gift cards and then I had a hundred dollar gift card from my aunt that she gave me for me actual birthday. I thought of using the money and adding 50 bucks to get a switch but my dad said that the switch was the last thing we needed in our house because he already had a xbox s and ps4 (I thought he meant that we couldn't have nintendo switch at all). But then he did offer me to get the lite for road trips and portable gaming. I already had a DS for that but I haven't used that since I was like 8 years old. So I bought it and a bunch of other accessories for it. I got it in the blue color and started regretting it when it shipped. The color looked like purple. When it came it didn't look purple at all and it was a great. I took it on a 7 hour road trip and by using it every 45 for 1 1/2 hours I made the battery last. The games are pricey but that goes for all of the switches. The screen is a bit faint but that's acceptable for 200 dollars. The size is just right for me and i'm not short at all just to give you a perspective im a football wide receiver so im pretty tall to get past requirements. This was my first real nintendo console designed for gamers unlike the DS. I had a WII and a DS and I think somewhere in the back of our basement there's even a game boy but this really is nintendo's giant leap towards gaming. It's almost a must have now for gamers. But it is good for all games now though. I prefer to play fortnite on my PC but recently with the no building and aim help I'm on the ps4 or xbox. For apex legends I use switch (surprisingly). And I really got into asphalt legends 9 on switch so I installed it on my ps4 and pc but the experience is just different of the nintendo. Then for minecraft everyone knows it obviously PC. The main let down of this controller is its screen quality and size I know if nintendo had to make it larger and improve the quality i wouldn't be budget or as portable. Last thing. I wasn't exactly correct on how the switch is bad for minecraft. Creative mode on switch is awesome. You don't have to continuously click or peck at a keyboard. But for switch its right there just a joystick and some buttons and you could even play in bed. Same would go for the xbox for ps4 but the lay out in my room makes me lay sideways or crane my neck or even sit up.

The thing is that you can never dock the Nintendo switch lite ever (unless they update it which I hope so) and like all portable electronic devices (iPhone for example) the battery will eventually drain and get worse over time where it won't carry a charge for long until you need to replace the battery that's when it will cost you. Unlike the original nintendo switch which even if the battery just doesn't hold a charge in handheld for long anymore you can still play docked mode on the TV. I love nintendo though but just saying lol

5:47 they probably went with quieter buttons so it doesn't bug people, if its a dedicated handheld, You're prob. gonna play it on the bus and stuff, and I'd be so annoying to the person next to you if they just constantly heard a TAP-TAP-TAP...
I also own the yellow one. Looks so cool. I prefer handheld rather than connecting to the t.v.
I got a Switch Lite and I love it. I am mostly PC gamer, but I love playing Nintendo titles on the go.

Everyone's got the yellow. Tbh I have an original Switch and won't buy this one because its pointless to me. If I got a new one in future I'd go for the better battery normal Switch. Although I only use handheld. I'd also get the Pokémon edition if I was getting a Lite.
Same like I play in both in handheld and t.v mode equally and I'm sticking with the original switch unless I can somehow get the newer version of the switch and plus I don't like the idea of switching between the two switches like having a home switch and to go one when you can just have one of them in the first place. Kinda feels like a waste to me personally but yea

I'm 20 and live on my own with other 4 people my age. We don't have a TV so I decided to go with the Pokémon Edition of the Switch lite. Since I can't play docked it was a great choice, also 100 euros less

From what I’ve heard, the less clicky buttons were designed to be quieter and unobtrusive when playing in public, as you probably will be with a portable console. That’s the only reason I can think of.

Eh, you don’t need a switch lite unless you don’t use tv mode at all.
Veganism Kills ok, it’s fine if you want to play by yourself and could care less about tv, but it’s missing a lot of versatility. You can’t do too many things with it, and some games won’t work on it unless you get joycons, even though those are a tiny amount. Also, it loses the ability to be set on a table, so no playing with friends. It doesn’t come with joycons, so you need to get some, and it doesn’t have a kickstand, and the small screen is what hammers in the fact that this is not a good system to play mario party or Mario kart on, and Mario kart is one of the most popular games to play with friends. You can’t hook up usb controllers because it can’t dock, but that doesn’t matter, because if you use a separate controller it won’t be too enjoyable because no kickstand unless you buy a case. You can get a grip for it, but you can also get a grip for the old Nintendo switch.

The normal switch is much better because of the bigger screen and detachable joycons.

I recently had my 12 b-day party. I got over $150 dollars in gift cards and then I had a hundred dollar gift card from my aunt that she gave me for me actual birthday. I thought of using the money and adding 50 bucks to get a switch but my dad said that the switch was the last thing we needed in our house because he already had a xbox s and ps4 (I thought he meant that we couldn't have nintendo switch at all). But then he did offer me to get the lite for road trips and portable gaming. I already had a DS for that but I haven't used that since I was like 8 years old. So I bought it and a bunch of other accessories for it. I got it in the blue color and started regretting it when it shipped. The color looked like purple. When it came it didn't look purple at all and it was a great. I took it on a 7 hour road trip and by using it every 45 for 1 1/2 hours I made the battery last. The games are pricey but that goes for all of the switches. The screen is a bit faint but that's acceptable for 200 dollars. The size is just right for me and i'm not short at all just to give you a perspective im a football wide receiver so im pretty tall to get past requirements. This was my first real nintendo console designed for gamers unlike the DS. I had a WII and a DS and I think somewhere in the back of our basement there's even a game boy but this really is nintendo's giant leap towards gaming. It's almost a must have now for gamers. But it is good for all games now though. I prefer to play fortnite on my PC but recently with the no building and aim help I'm on the ps4 or xbox. For apex legends I use switch (surprisingly). And I really got into asphalt legends 9 on switch so I installed it on my ps4 and pc but the experience is just different of the nintendo. Then for minecraft everyone knows it obviously PC. The main let down of this controller is its screen quality and size I know if nintendo had to make it larger and improve the quality i wouldn't be budget or as portable. Last thing. I wasn't exactly correct on how the switch is bad for minecraft. Creative mode on switch is awesome. You don't have to continuously click or peck at a keyboard. But for switch its right there just a joystick and some buttons and you could even play in bed. Same would go for the xbox for ps4 but the lay out in my room makes me lay sideways or crane my neck or even sit up.

The thing is that you can never dock the Nintendo switch lite ever (unless they update it which I hope so) and like all portable electronic devices (iPhone for example) the battery will eventually drain and get worse over time where it won't carry a charge for long until you need to replace the battery that's when it will cost you. Unlike the original nintendo switch which even if the battery just doesn't hold a charge in handheld for long anymore you can still play docked mode on the TV. I love nintendo though but just saying lol
