The Ravens lost more than their defendensive coordinator - they lost 2 other senior defensive staff. Pees is 75 & presents no threat to Orr. Orr played for him & having an accomplished veteran as a sounding board is what great organizations do to put their future leaders in a position to succeed. A no brainer move that recognizes & addresses a need. Go Blackbirds!

I think that Z.O. is too close to the guys ages, and has been a friend to most of them before the promotion. We know that some people don't work as hard for a friend, as they do a stranger. No real threat of authority if we homies really. Pees brings a real authority to the situation I believe. I like it.

People don’t understand the ravens front office. Gotta stop comparing zo to Mike Mac, Mike was an intern in bmore back in 2013, and coached all over the defense as an assistant. Dude was groomed to be the dc and he had play calling experience before hand on the biggest stage in college. ZO has never done any of that and came on to the staff only 3 years ago his rise has been rushed I feel because the org didn’t expect Mike to be that good and leave that fast. I think the plan was to have zo behind Mike for a few more years than just two

Mac had play calling experience and was an intern in Baltimore back in 2013 so he’s been on staff for over a decade, a lot of people don’t know that he’s coached all levels and was an assistant for years. ZO was a player but this is his 4th year on staff, fans got to stop comparing the situation is completely different
