It is obvious that the vast majority of the congregation wish to reecieve communion from a priest, so what is the point of lay people giving out the sacrament?
I did the video streaming and received communion near the end of the line. I reviewed the video tonight and there were 3 people giving out communion. Fr. Justin, our Deacon and sister Kathy. I viewed two rows of people coming down the aisle. They were going to all three . If they only had one priest the Mass would have been much longer. Fr. Justin may have had a few more people at the end but in no way did a couple of people. All three went to the altar at the same time. If you view one of the morning Masses you will see only one priest distributes communion. I have to disagree with your comment.
