Looking for more of what to see and do in BB. Liked the Balmy Days and Mary E segments but the whole windjammer was about a single event - plus lots of ads. Is there hiking, shopping etc?
As a local myself. There’s a sweet little mini golf course/ ice cream hut/ arcade. There’s the opera house which is a historic venue that offers live music. There are booze cruises that play live reggae music every Sunday. There are tons of preserves for hiking and camping. My favorites are porters preserve and ovens mouth preserve. There’s a small movie theatre. A free trolly that takes you all around town. There’s the railway village which offers train rides, a mini model train village and antique auto museum. We have an aquarium at bigelow lab which has a touch tank and displays the aquatic life around the region. There are whale watch cruises, Maine botanical gardens which is the best in New England by far. There are a lot of small beaches such as Hendricks head or Barrets park. A beautiful playground at the town center that was recently renovated, fishing charters, tons of nice restaurants and shops ,the footbridge and two great breweries . We have an awesome YMCA with indoor track, pool, hot tub racquetball, sauna, basketball and tennis courts. Lastly, we have alot of fresh water fishing spots and boast a world class country club that is absolutely top notch.prolly the best in Maine if not New England. Top 3 if anything. Enjoy!
Was hoping to see our boat out on the mooring. Great video. Getting hungry for a lobster bake!
