Gunung Angsi via Bukit Putus Leisurely Hike

Mount Angsi is a seventh highest mountain in Negeri Sembilan after Mounts Besar Hantu, Hantu Kecil, Telapak Buruk, Berembun, Datuk and Mount Rembau. Gunung Angsi located between Ulu Bendul, Kuala Pilah, Senawang, and Seremban, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia and has its height is 825 meters (2,702 ft). Mount Angsi become one of the main attractions for the Ulu Bendul Recreational Forest and is open to the hikers for register the climb permit at the counter from 7.00 a.m to 5.00 p.m during weekend or public holiday and from 8.00 a.m to 5.00 p.m during weekdays. Mount Angsi is located in a forest that was established in year 1972 with a development area of 6.9 hectares.
The ascent of Mount Angsi usually takes about 2 - 3 hours with normal pace which passes through a 4.5 kilometres track along the Batang Terachi River. At the top of Gunung Angsi, climbers can enjoy views of Seremban and Senawang city area also view of nearby mountains such as Gunung Telapak Buruk, Gunung Berembun, Gunung Datuk and Gunung Tampin. It is quite challenging, and climbers can get lost if they are not familiar with forest trails and not aware with the marking along the track. Hulu Bendul Forest is a rich forest reserve with a variety of tropical trees such as meranti trees, keruing trees, black resins, and mersawa trees.
