Kevin you are my first video every morning. My son is a real history person and he hears you in the other room and always agrees with you about the history you share. Thanks for everything.
Just because a reseller has another source of income (TH-cam), it doesn’t make them not a reseller. I’ve never heard anyone claim that Michael Jordan wasn’t really a basketball player because he made more money in sponsorships and advertising.
Truth. I have a full time job that pays me well but I just started reselling as a way to bring in extra to strictly set aside for adventures for my family of 4. Reselling can be for anyone as long as you like doing it.
Thanks, Kevin for clarification 👍 some people just don't get it and have nothing better to do but include their negativity. For all you doing what you do, keep it up 💯 Don't let the negative haters win.
Yes, there needs to be a certain amount of warnings on products but there also needs to be accountability on a person. If you don't know at this point not to take a bath with an electronic device, you shouldn't survive. If you don't know not to put a plastic bag on your head, or where your children can, you shouldn't survive.
Amazing Sales!🎉 Comgrats Kevin and Family. Keep on Rocking and Selling Lots. I had too laugh😂 about the .10 cent crack that was a good one Kev. Kelly from Ocala, Fl
Do NOT listen to the negatives. 2024 is full of them. We all have our own lives and do what is best for our own 4 walls. As long as you enjoy what you do, whether it is 5 items listed or 2000. You are a reseller & enjoy it. We are all constantly learning and doing better by the day. Thank goodness we are still free to do so. To share: the overseas ship story we had an item that we sold to Australia and after it was delivered we were then hit with a $32 ship fee! Pay attention, our first and last of this kind of loss. Live & Learn
We have a small shop opened out of necessity because my daughter passed away & she had rooms of eBay inventory we needed to sell so we could settle her estate. Since then her sister & I started picking up inventory to sell because what’s left from my daughter’s estate is almost gone. We like it. Right now we average about $250 a month. It’s all I can handle by myself because my daughter works. But we source together. That being said. We had an amazing June & July! I was expecting a slow down but that didn’t happen until August. In any case, $100, $200 a month for us pays off her student loans
I'm sorry for your loss. 😕 If your daughter didn't consolidate her student loans and they weren't private loans, you do NOT have to pay for her student loan debt. Look into it. 😉
That is about how much I make doing it myself. It's not a lot but it paid for the truck to be fixed and a refrigerator to be replaced when it broke down.
Does anybody know what happens if you get an international sale to your Europe? I sell a ton of hats, but I do have some plush and other different things. Thank you for speaking out, speaking your mind, I agree 1000%, a bunch of complete restrictive nonsense that we can never allow here, they don't care at all about the safety of the public over there, that shows by other decisions and policy they allow.
I do sell antiques but I also sell dolls and other toys from the 60s-80s. Do these directives also apply to the toys around this age? I also definitely agree with you. Here in Europe they come up with some laws just to favour themselves disguised as trying to protect others. Pretty ridiculous and evil.
I’m the 65-year-old retired dispatcher who sells on eBay to make enough money to do something other than just exist. This year I’m taking my oldest granddaughter on a cruise for her 13th birthday. It’s true no matter how you sell it if you resell an item, you are a reseller. I had that discussion with someone else concerning Walmart target and all that and I said you don’t think they make their own products right they do buy and sell. They buy the products from somewhere else and they sell itmay not be reselling, but it’s still the same type of thing. Keep doing what you’re doing. It’s very helpful.
Agree with everything you said here. I've already planned to block sales to all regulated countries because of the GPSR. My sales to those places were rare anyway. I wonder if by using U.S. Freight Forwarders those overseas will still be able to buy from sellers in non-compliant areas?
another usefull vid ,well done! The GPRS does or can deter people that like to hurt,make,kill...look at what's happening in Lebanon I.e. the exploding pagers. A different scenario for sure but they bought from a seller....
Great video, as always. On the subject of drop shippers, I watched an alarming video of another seller on YT. A while back, this guy posted that he was ditching the fancy house, all the bills, moving into an RV to travel, and still making money as a reseller. You might know of the guy. I was so disturbed at what he was pitching to his viewers that I had to speak up. What I believe is he's wanting to start a "different kind" of District platform, that could be (potentially) damaging to your site. This guys' pitch literally sounds like he's selling the Kool-Aid. If you do watch it, check out the comments. Hey, thank you for my recent Droopy doll, CWP Ikea bag and light! I love them all!
That youtuber lost me with his wild, crazy idea. But I don't believe he's serious competition to anyone. It threw me, although I notice he promotes his online management services like his life depends on it. I got the impression they can't afford the house payments anymore, or maybe they're breaking up. It's just the two of them in that huge house, no family plans, so I wonder why they didn't just settle for a small, modest home with inexpensive furniture, no HOA, and lower property taxes, etc. I suspect he overextended his debt load and may be having cash-flow problems. They're in an expensive location, even for Florida. If I had the equity he claims to have in that house, that's what I'd do. Even a small but new mobile home on your own lot would be better than hitting the road indefinitely, in an oversized RV. I wish him well, because some of his videos are very informative. Another 'bigtime' youtube eBayer recently did something similar: decided to take leave and head out on an 'extended vacation'. They got ants in their pants, but there's no place like home.
This is my first month of reselling, made 600 gross profit this far, I have spent minimal time or money just trying to get organized, learn about products, and get a good system down, thank you for the content you provide it has been a HUGE help, truly have learned a lot from you and a few others that put out good info.
As resellers. We need to be vigilant on politics that helps us or can be something that can compact us negatively. Kamala has stated that she will tax unrealized gains. That means as a reseller will pay taxes on inventory not sold yet. This will put a lot of resellers out of business. This is something that all resellers need to know what is going on.
How many resellers do you know that are making 100 million or more per year? Because that is the proposal. So please do your research before spreading misinformation and panic in the reselling community. But hey, I am sure some youtubers will create a drama video on this for clicks. Under the new proposal, taxpayers with net wealth above $100 million would be required to pay a minimum effective tax rate of 25 percent on an expanded measure of income that includes their unrealized capital gains. Taxpayers would calculate their effective tax rate for the minimum tax and, if it fell below 25 percent, would owe additional taxes to bring their effective rate to 25 percent. Any additional taxes owed because of the minimum tax would be payable over nine years initially, and over five years going forward.
people that comment stupid or negative things are lonely, weak pathetic and feel strong commenting shit. Always consider the source. I wouldn't air my actual business numbers. Noone should know your business is my belief. it's like asking your boss what he makes. "Nobodies business but my own"
When I used to resell, we had no media to sell on. I'm 70 and disabled now and can't do it anymore, even if I want to have a garage sale and my daughter and hubby said you won't make it 😅😅
I've thrown a bit of negativity around and realized I had to check my attitude. I was simply angry with myself. I felt plenty of jealousy and regret. The good thing about it is that it taught me this is under my control. All the crabbing I was doing was just bad energy and completely useless. At least I learned.
Anyone who feels the need to quantify whether someone is a "real reseller" isn't one themselves. We make money by flipping things, not by judging others.
As far as I'm aware the Goodwill stores are regionally ran. Being in northern Illinois I know they're ran differently than the ones a few hours away in central Illinois. Selling media exclusively, the Goodwill in northern Illinois charge $1.99 per CD, while the ones in central Illinois charge $2.69 each. With these more than likely being regionally ran across the country, there will be pockets of Goodwill stores where the finds will be better. We obviously know that the majority of Goodwills are taking the more valuable items and placing them on their shop Goodwill website or even in their eBay stores. It's unfortunate that it's getting more and more difficult for the part-time or full-time reseller to make a living.
Kevin, that electric fence charger "Low Impedance" is low IMPEEDANCE--Long E. It's an electrical term--think of it as resistance. I too would like to know what to do with a bunch of Yu-Gi-Oh and Pokemon and other cards that belonged to our boys over the years, who are both grown now. I have a binder full of card pages with various cards, probably none worth much, but somebody who sells cards may want them to help build sets or swap out common cards for a better condition card or something? Should I just list them as a lot and take a photo of each page showing each card? Should I spend the time to make a list for the Description block? I don't know if that would even come up in search results.
Kevin, as our resident Tupperware expert, how do you see their filing for bankruptcy protection? Good thing for resale prices or bad? Either way surely the end of an era--even here in the UK.
I'm using the global shipping program, so I'm assuming since I don't have the stuff filled out ebay automatically excludes my item, cause as far as I'm concerned I'm not filling that crap out and the EU can kick rocks

I work full time and I do about $400 a month on eBay. I sell on other platforms too. But eBay money goes to my wife’s bank account. That way she lets me keep doing what I’m doing hah.
I am on EBay motors mainly selling used and vintage parts I used to sell a lot to Germany and France that has come an end because of there governments. I agree this crap could be a problem for online sellers if it made its way here
Some people have nothing better to do than rain on everone else's collective parade. That said, the Euro requirements are beyond silly and they're one reason American sellers don't ship overseas. You can't even be mad at eBoo for this one; they're victims too. The regulations wouldn't apply to most of what I sold, when I sold, but ...eek. Does a buyer using a freight forwarder protect a USA seller from all of that nonsense? Obviously for electronics it's not nonsense, but for glass, books, jewelry , t-shirts. etc?
Without wishing to tempt fate, the last couple of months have been the best in a couple of years. Not only was Q3 up year on year but the last 2 weeks have been the best in five years. However, even after 23 years reselling in eBay it's still a mystery on a day to day basis; after a week of constant higher than usual sales and immediately following a listing surge... dead. No sales for two days, impressions and page views both fell off a cliff edge. Third day, back to high sales. Which eBay god did I upset, I have to wonder? The one thing I have learnt after two decades on eBay is simply, "this too shall pass".
So I noticed that when you say a price you say $17.95. I am wondering if you list at $18? Or is the price after a discount? Or is there a strategy to adding change to the price? Thanks.
