You must check out "mjtv music and me" for a playlist of amazing live performances.. mainly from 1975 in Mexico. They are some of mjs best live vocals. His voice had just matured so he reinterprets "younger Michael" songs with his newly matured voice, like happy, one day on your life, and music and me... the performances are unbelievably flawless, with a clear (non husky) strength that he often chose not to use in his later life ballads. I don't know why he didn't use that skill more in his later ballads... he could still do it as evident in You Are Not Alone... anyway he is Perfection!

Dang, I love these. These are great! I wish that Destiny Tour 1980 concert was better but the screen capture of that concert was so bad. It was so dark and faded. And that last leg of the tour was when MJ started doing all his Off The Wall stuff. Not like the first leg where they were still wearing afros and those tight suits. There was such a huge change between the first and the last legs of that tour too. Their afros changed to proto-jheri curls already and MJ was already rockin his tuxedo image with bowtie. Makes me wonder. I guess they did the Triumph album right in between tours cuz the Triumph tour came in Q2 1981 and the Destiny tour ended Q2 1980. They were workin it hard. Love em. You on twitter?
