@@ejc7129 It is a bit shame really as these are the best ironic trains that hit the rails in the 1970's. It's amazing how they lasted and went soo strong until now. True, Scotland will be the only ones to with the ScotRail InterCity7 sets.
@@RickyNowis The HST design concept was years ahead of its time with modular engine room construction, making for far easier and quicker maintenance. Drivers and passengers loved them plus they were a huge step up in ride quality over the MKI and MKII coaches in the 1970’s. The HST was a true saviour of Britain’s railways because if it wasn’t for the success of the HST, the Thatcher Government of the time was looking to reduce some Inter-City routes and services further at the end of the 1970’s 😧🇬🇧🏴🏴 I for one will be sorry to see them go 😞😪

It looked that way yes. Found it odd when it was announced as 6 carriages but its a sad sign that these HST's are getting withdrawn.
