I always thought of gojo death to be more of a parallel to kites death no hisoka, given that kite was gons master/ friend for a little while, just like gojo to itadory and the other students.

I feel like a lot of people dont understand the difference between gojo and sukuna. With gojo he would always save everyonehe could teleport he could one shot anyone other than sukuna the main villain and he was just a good guy meaning he'd defeat anyone who tries to do bad things while with sukuna dukuna is way stronger but his personality is more selfish and self centered hence why he lets other people get stronger sukuna doesnt care about the difficulty he doesn't care about the risk he cares about the thrill. And for people saying gege cant write a story around op charecters are hust dumb as there are LOTS of op jjk charecters the only problem with gojo is that gojo is literally #2 and no one is near him. With one punch man saitama was the main charecter so the entire series was based off his growth while in juk gojonis a SIDE CHARACTER he isnt the msin focus of the story he does have major contributions but in the end this stiry us about yuji and sukuna it has ALWAYS been about yuji and sukuna. From the first chapter till now the stories main focus was yuji causing the death of sukuna.
I wish what they did was force Gojo to have some kind of moment in the fight where because he’s in our bois body, he has extra cards up his sleeve that make it too great on his own, so he might have needed to sacrifice one of the things that makes him so powerful, like 6 eyes or something and make it a kind of binding vow? Idk. I just like that idea because it leaves him in the series as a potential player but also not too OP that he needs to be killed off entirely.
People forgot the entire first quarter of jjk happened very normally with gojo, and the entire plot of the culling game was to free gojo. Gojo losing is basically the same as nobarra dying, but a LOT worse.
Idk I feel like Gojo dying was a fabtastic choice storywise, but personally I feel it makes zero sense. Sukuna is absurdly strong but the fight just decided to ignore many of Gojo’s hacks. Gojo’s mastery of cursed energy paired with the six eyes and his insane speed (which should be higher than Sukuna’s going by how their powers work with Gojo being able to manipulate space to instantly teleport) should’ve made him capable of dodging the world cutting slash as long as it wasn’t use within Sukuna’s domain. Also, the world cutting slash is still a slash, Gojo’s infintesimal costs of cursed energy use should’ve made him easily able to heal from being cut in half with his reverse technique. Its true that his brain and technique use should be suffering because of him using reverse cursed technique to bypass domain expansion caused burnout of infinty, this might make him to slow to reliably dodge the slashes, but still, the fact his reverse curse technique just seems to suddenly stop working makes the fight sort of a “cheap win” for Sukuna since it looks like mostly it was plot armor that lets him win. Taking into account all the powers we know Gojo has it doesn’t make sense Sukuna was able to beat him the way he did, especially since he didn’t destroy Gojo’s brain, which was his proper win condition.
He has also inadvertently created a Sukuna that requires a power booster out of nowhere for the entire main cast to possibly stand a chance to beat Sukuna
also another main reason is that because we as a reader and watcher love that character. Gege already answer why he is killing off major character it is because of our attachment to the character. He stated in the interview "I don't think a character should die if readers don't feel any emotion for them like sadness."
Keep on mind, the reason gojo lost is because it was a 4v1 (including gege) not only that but he didn't want to hurt megumi. If Gojo hasn't been sealed, he would've probably became stronger since he would have time to train instead of being stuck inside that box
What’s crazy to me is that, and you can disagree if you want, gojo was always destined to die these reasons are bull shit. Sukuna ALWAYS had a plan to save Megumi for “mysterious reasons” up until we find out he wants to use Mahoraga to adapt to Gojo’s weakness. This pretty much directly implies Sukuna has always known of the existence of Mahoraga and was waiting on his chance to steal and use it to best Gojo as he was the only person supposedly in the way of his plans power wise. Gojo isnt going to kill Megumi or Yuji since that’s just not who he is and that’s the only option to stop Sukuna’s plan to which even if you give him the benefit of the doubt and say Gojo knew of the plan that still means he needs a method to overcome it via sheer strength and skill which obviously wasn’t the intention because then the series is over. I find this to be bad writing but that’s just my opinion.

Man they did gojo Dirty,like why the fuck would yuta's brain shift to gojo's body to only use rct to heal the gojo's body,like wtf, couldn't gojo himself do this ,man his brain experience the flow of time differently (slowly),we saw after the first slash to his neck in sukuna's domain to regenerate instantly and after rigorous battle being able to unlock his ultimate potential after using black flash multiple times,like how other characters were able to ,it wouldn't make sense for yuta to only occupy gojo's body to get access to his cursed techniques to only get all the abilities that gojo had earned,also sukuna mentioned that part of cursed techniques is embedded in prefrontal cortex of brain that's why damage to brain degreded the output of opening domain multiple time ,and it isn't easy to learn domain ,if it would then every other would have it,and to learn other techniques in an instant man wtf.

They were able to stitch Gojo’s body back together, and that’s why he was able to use RCT in the first place. He had to use Rika’s infinite cursed energy on full blast in order to do it too. It was just a feat that Gojo couldn’t pull off immediately after his battle with Sukuna

I feel like a lot of people dont understand the difference between gojo and sukuna. With gojo he would always save everyonehe could teleport he could one shot anyone other than sukuna the main villain and he was just a good guy meaning he'd defeat anyone who tries to do bad things while with sukuna dukuna is way stronger but his personality is more selfish and self centered hence why he lets other people get stronger sukuna doesnt care about the difficulty he doesn't care about the risk he cares about the thrill. And for people saying gege cant write a story around op charecters are hust dumb as there are LOTS of op jjk charecters the only problem with gojo is that gojo is literally #2 and no one is near him. With one punch man saitama was the main charecter so the entire series was based off his growth while in juk gojonis a SIDE CHARACTER he isnt the msin focus of the story he does have major contributions but in the end this stiry us about yuji and sukuna it has ALWAYS been about yuji and sukuna. From the first chapter till now the stories main focus was yuji causing the death of sukuna.
I wish what they did was force Gojo to have some kind of moment in the fight where because he’s in our bois body, he has extra cards up his sleeve that make it too great on his own, so he might have needed to sacrifice one of the things that makes him so powerful, like 6 eyes or something and make it a kind of binding vow? Idk. I just like that idea because it leaves him in the series as a potential player but also not too OP that he needs to be killed off entirely.
People forgot the entire first quarter of jjk happened very normally with gojo, and the entire plot of the culling game was to free gojo. Gojo losing is basically the same as nobarra dying, but a LOT worse.
Idk I feel like Gojo dying was a fabtastic choice storywise, but personally I feel it makes zero sense. Sukuna is absurdly strong but the fight just decided to ignore many of Gojo’s hacks. Gojo’s mastery of cursed energy paired with the six eyes and his insane speed (which should be higher than Sukuna’s going by how their powers work with Gojo being able to manipulate space to instantly teleport) should’ve made him capable of dodging the world cutting slash as long as it wasn’t use within Sukuna’s domain. Also, the world cutting slash is still a slash, Gojo’s infintesimal costs of cursed energy use should’ve made him easily able to heal from being cut in half with his reverse technique. Its true that his brain and technique use should be suffering because of him using reverse cursed technique to bypass domain expansion caused burnout of infinty, this might make him to slow to reliably dodge the slashes, but still, the fact his reverse curse technique just seems to suddenly stop working makes the fight sort of a “cheap win” for Sukuna since it looks like mostly it was plot armor that lets him win. Taking into account all the powers we know Gojo has it doesn’t make sense Sukuna was able to beat him the way he did, especially since he didn’t destroy Gojo’s brain, which was his proper win condition.
So gojo was just like madara, even the creator couldnt stop him

also another main reason is that because we as a reader and watcher love that character. Gege already answer why he is killing off major character it is because of our attachment to the character. He stated in the interview "I don't think a character should die if readers don't feel any emotion for them like sadness."

What’s crazy to me is that, and you can disagree if you want, gojo was always destined to die these reasons are bull shit. Sukuna ALWAYS had a plan to save Megumi for “mysterious reasons” up until we find out he wants to use Mahoraga to adapt to Gojo’s weakness. This pretty much directly implies Sukuna has always known of the existence of Mahoraga and was waiting on his chance to steal and use it to best Gojo as he was the only person supposedly in the way of his plans power wise. Gojo isnt going to kill Megumi or Yuji since that’s just not who he is and that’s the only option to stop Sukuna’s plan to which even if you give him the benefit of the doubt and say Gojo knew of the plan that still means he needs a method to overcome it via sheer strength and skill which obviously wasn’t the intention because then the series is over. I find this to be bad writing but that’s just my opinion.
