18:05 Pulls up till there is tension on the Scott towel then lifts. Aggressively yanks up on the other towel before any tension and rips the ends off. Yep, he did exactly what the manufacturer of the Scott towels said to do to make their towel look so tough in order to get that sponsorship! I imagine if he lifted the other towel till there was some tension, it would've managed to lift the hub assembly before it tore. Even though the other towel is clearly not as tough as the Scott towel, it was not a fair comparison based on inconsistent test factors.
A lot of trucks like I had sit a long time because of money and equipment. Your shop has the equipment, shop, manpower and money to get the job done. It takes years for individuals to get enough money and find competent bodymen and mechanics.
A very well put together informative video, you guys got it together . I have the exact same truck. It took 20 yrs to finish on my own. I restored several other cars as well. Keep them coming.
I had one of these years ago. And it was a joy to work on. But I did a big no-no. I ran a 454 Chey big block. I guess you could say it was "built ford tough" with Chevy stuff...lol
@@automotiveguru6961 It came with a 302 in it someone had put in it. It had a big old hole in the block. And with no ford motors around I went with what I had...
You fitted a 55 can onto a brand new vehicle...harldy a resto or rebuild! Looks good though, just wish these shows actually restored more of the original parts.
I am no paint expert so I am gonna ask a possibly stupid question. Why would you use body filler on perfectly good brand new body panels? I understand removing that black factory coating but I thought you should try to use NO filler everywhere possible.
The metal comes with waves and imperfections. To make a "show" truck lines must be super straight. Think of filler as a thousand layers of primer in one hit. Then block it till it is flat. Then seal and paint and glass and candy apples.
badad0166 working on a ‘56 currently. Been doing this since the early ‘70’s. Bought the same panels from LMC. Removed the e-coat. PPG epoxy prime followed by 2K . Block sanded, flat as hillary’s ass. No filler required. Misinformation and bullshit.
never cared for shaved door handles ,,,or lowered ,,,or chopped or changing out original steering wheel or replacing bench seat with bucket seats from a van.
The EcoBoost V6 is an extremely reliable engine that makes great power and has a huge aftermarket. There are guys making over 1,000 hp on an EcoBoost and they are surprisingly reliable.

I absolutely love the content of the guys! Why is it exactly though that the narrator uses that silly, contrived MMA voice affectation to do the intros?
A top chop looks good on some vehicles...but not on 53-56 F-100s. It makes the truck look longer and destroys the proportions. A good example of a stock vehicle that looks like it was flipped over and slammed on it's roof is the newest Camaro. It has ugly proportions.
@@davidgraham7325 Cutting it down makes it look longer and ruins the proportions of the hood, fenders and box /rear fenders...in my opinion of course. You can see this ruinous effect in the newer Camaro of the last five years or so...it looks like someone rolled it and pancaked the roof.
Yes, excellent, gonna be a beautiful, unbelievable truck, but to call it a F100 is laughable other than the body. All these Restomods need to have an "asterisks" that these cars/trucks are in name only.
The metal comes with waves and imperfections. To make a "show" truck lines must be super straight. Think of filler as a thousand layers of primer in one hit. Then block it till it is flat. Then seal and paint and twelve coats of clear, sanded and polished to a mirror finish and best in show here's your trophy. For those of you reading this for the third time, congratulations and please take a complimentary cookie.

Love you baby ❤😊👍
Are there going to be new episodes? Are you thinking of doing a payment channel kind of like Steven Crowder? I do miss your shows on Sundays.
don't take a lifetime ....but it takes a lifetime of money
No

I really appreciate that you guys wear proper respirators when doing dusty work. That's so important, and so often neglected.

I wonder what would have happened if it was a lunar rover part on the moon?

Its like restoring the soul of the vehicle.
13:04 back it with brass or copper and blast away. Holds the molten till it hardens. It's like a no stick mold. Less goober on the backside too.

These guys are a good duo. I like watchin these shows
Not a ford guy but you NEED a good ole 56 F100. Awesome looking truck
You've got to respect body men. That's long tedious work that is easy to mess up. Results like this are impressive.
Why do people fill in the cowl vents?? It's one of the coolest things on these trucks.
Better than 2019 models any day
Great build.

TINY Numismatics at least it’ll have more horsepower than that old flat head Haha
@@automotiveguru6961 It came with a 302 in it someone had put in it. It had a big old hole in the block. And with no ford motors around I went with what I had...
TINY Numismatics Well gotta do what you gotta do lol Chevy V8s are the easiest to work on other than a ford or Mopar V8
Nice shop good project. Good job guys
You can use filler over e coat when prepped properly. we never fill over bare metal. epoxy is the best to use filler over

Omg all that sanding would drive me nuts. Lol

You ever heard of Foose? Skim coats filler on every winning ride.
See above and below...
How come you didn't paint the chassis while you had everything off?
That’s the kind of truck I would love to have 1 day.👍👍👍put a shelby engine in it. Wow awesome

11:39 Camera needs to be bagged in the booth. Hope it was a rental.
Why not use copper plate or even a penny to Fill your trim holes?
Please show all shops names for others
You got new fenders and hood, and why you aply body filler?

19:13. He closed the door.
How to open it?
never cared for shaved door handles ,,,or lowered ,,,or chopped or changing out original steering wheel or replacing bench seat with bucket seats from a van.
Cual es el costo de esa hermosa camioneta puesta en New York
Of all the reliable New Ford V8 motors they use a V6
The EcoBoost V6 is an extremely reliable engine that makes great power and has a huge aftermarket. There are guys making over 1,000 hp on an EcoBoost and they are surprisingly reliable.
Did they ever finish this truck
Yeah, www.powernationtv.com/episode/TT2016-23/f100-finale
Why do you sand it down an put bondo on it
Thru Itall I have the same question too. They didn’t explain why

The trucks look one hundred percent better cut down four and a half inches as I did mine I installed the body on LTD frame with a 46o engine 😎

Seriously.... a V6???
That things gonna sound like a fart machine driving by.
Yea trash they can't afford a V8
The EcoBoost actually sound quite good, believe it or not V8's aren't the only singular engine design that can sound good.
Too many screws..., why not welding?
Karman ghia
" if the bolt do sen't go in get a bigger impact " very bad advice ...
ok.
Hi my David I need help with my F-100 can you help me please
Yes, excellent, gonna be a beautiful, unbelievable truck, but to call it a F100 is laughable other than the body. All these Restomods need to have an "asterisks" that these cars/trucks are in name only.
The only thing original is the VIN number.
😁👍✌👌🖖😎
So much for straight panels lots of bog ha ha
14:19 what a shitty weld
👍👍👍👍👍🇨🇿
Holy filler
Wish I had 45K in free parts to build a ''Basket case" LAME!!! Oh and it sits 6'' too high!!
Perfect way to kill a vehicles look put ugly black rims on it
To many talk,i cant understand
V6? Turbo? Im outa here
Why do you bondo brand new panels pretty stupid.

I was excited this build until ya'll put the 6cyl in it that's when I quit watching
Why not just take your money and buy a new car? I'm a purist why ruin a good thing?
Great work, ugly truck - doubtful if anything will make it look good!
Ford trucks have always had the best looking bodies that is one reason they have always outsold every thing else for 50 years
