Slowed it down, 3 different wake Forrest defenders speared him helmet to helmet and there wasn't even a flag lol, referee should be charged with criminal negligence for that one
Grayson McCall got hit really hard I’m pretty sure he was unconscious for about 5-7 minutes he had to get a neck brace then he woke up and signaled to the all the fans it was crazy
The announcer thought the guy was going to score because he had a blocker and was 10 yards away from the end zone, but then the clown just ran past the tackler and let him make the play lolololol 1:09
@@jimbo0386 First off, I want to say that I hope McCall is OK going forward for the rest of the season. Reports surfaced late last night that he has been released from the hospital and preliminary indications are that he should be able to make a full recovery from this injury. Whether he suits up again for the Wolfpack going forward will likely have a lot to do with input from him and his family as well as the medical experts who are trained with this expertise (CTE/head injuries). As for penalizing Wake Forest, that would not have been the proper call, despite the brutal outcome of the play. When a QB leaves the pocket and breaks the line of scrimmage as a runner, he is a runner from that point forward *UNLESS* he gives himself up via the "slide play." McCall did not do that. He essentially put his head down in an effort to gain as many yards as possible. At that point, he is *NOT* a defenseless player, and is fair game for the defenders to hit and take down. Unfortunately his helmet popped off as three Wake Forest defenders converged to bring him down, making the video replay and outcome of the encounter that much more impactful. Was it an unfortunate play? Absolutely. But given the current rules of the game, the Wake Forest players really didn't do anything inappropriate here to draw a flag. From that standpoint, the play was properly officiated in my opinion. Football is a violent game with big, fast guys colliding with each other all over the field throughout a 60-minute contest. Again, let's all hope that McCall can recover and play again for the Pack.
The quarterback was the ball carrier and he thought he was gonna run over our safety and he lowered his head and we had a guy that hit him from the side and our guy that hit him from the front and he just got lit up. But your quarterback led with the crown of his helmet
I'm surprised this isn't getting any coverage at all. It's blatant & obvious that he tries to get a quick look then, proceed to step on him. I'd kick him off the team rq!
As I've been saying for 8 years now, Donut Dave Doeren is a joke. In year TWELVE, we're losing at home to what was a 1-win opponent who entered the game with the 129th ranked offense in the country - AND our defense forced 2 turnovers AND we had a double-digit lead halfway through the 4th quarter. ANYONE still defending Doeren is either dumb, ignorant to football, or both.
The NC State Q put his head down. he didn't try to slide. This was nowhere close to be being targeting. I hope the NC State q is ok...
0:50 is the injury
You the real MVP.

@@jimbo0386meh. He’s a ball runner trying to get a first down.
Play should be called dead when he lost his helmet, which was before the ball came out
Omg i hope NC State’s QB is okay. He got his clock cleaned. Helmet came off and head flew back. Looked like helmet to helmet and he went limp.
If you watched it slowed down his helmet came off before the hit, so he went skull to helmet with one of the guys.
Just got released from hospital completely fine
He should be the backup at this point
@@SJComicHub-jj4fsyeah I played football my whole life, that looked so gruesome.
@@NeptuneRisesLoLthank God. Bc that looked horrible.

Great rivalry game!
NC State is over for the year.
Keep Cj Bailey as the Starting Qb and Leave Injury prone Grayson McCall as the backup

All 3 defenders led with their helmets and made contact.
Not even a thought about throwing a flag too lol

Yikes.
Didn’t slide…didn’t even dive. He went in tall and lowered his head.
the QB led with his head too... lol did it to himself

Boom! Goes the dynamite
How was that not a penalty?
WF #45 on the injury definitely looks like he tried stepping on the QBs head when he's leaving the scene. Dirty af.

NC State Defense is just awful this year
The conference should suspend the player and referees for that hit on the qb. Take head injuries seriously.
No, it was just a regular play. Nothing dirty. If you get KO'd on a regular play, tough.
