Nice comparison, I enjoyed the video! I built out each tractor on the manufacture's website as you described them, loader included. The MX6000 was $61,498 and the Deere 4066 was $73,936! Note that the L6060 with a comparable load-out is $71,513 (Prices are Q2 2024). This is why I agree with the comments stating a better comparison would be the L6060 as it does have all the amenities that the Deere has and thus is a fairer comparison price wise. If the price difference was 2K, I would be tempted to go Deere for that rear bumper 3-point control. However, I went Kubota since they use metal, have direct hydraulic controls when possible, allow the owner to fully maintain the machine, have a more "aggressive" look, and offer low cost cab options by stripping out everything that is not essential. Deere forces you to get nearly all creature comforts when going the cab route. They must assume money is no option if you get a cab tractor 🥲 Perhaps you misspoke when you said the difference between the MX6000 and 4066 was only 2K, because if it was... you either got ripped off by the Kubota dealer or have dirt on the owner of a Deere dealer 🥵
Prices are crazy anymore. At the time I was buying my Kubota there was only 2500 in between the MX and the 4066. Then the L6060 was more than both. Thats why I went with the MX at the time.
The Deere has more power and the hydros seem way better. The Deere also has around 500-600 pounds more weight to help keep it planted. There is a butt for every seat. I think they are both good machines. I just like the Deere better.
@@skidcolower center of gravity for me is super important as well. I flail mow over 100 acres for customers here in the mountains of Vermont. The Deere looks like it would be very unstable. Also the Deere won't fit in my 9x8 garage doors. I have the mx5400 gear drive, simpler is better in my opinion and all those buttons and fancy gadgets smell like trouble 10 years down the road. My biggest gripe with Deere is not using the standard quick attach on the loader. Really limits what front end attachments you can buy or especially rent.
Congrats. I do like the deeres but I have two kubotas. I think apples to apples would be the l6060. I think you may have said that. Both will get the job done but the Deere is definitely nicer. If I were to get rid of my kubota I’d get a 3046r cab. What’s the size of your shop?
Yep. A l6060 is closer to compare except the price. When I bought the Kubota the MX wa about 2500 cheaper and the L6060 was 5000 more than the Deere. 40X50 14' walls
I have some videos coming out with the Deere pushing snow. It way outperformed the MX. It was a good tractor but it didn't have the power and capabilities of the Deere. The Deere is a little heavier so it helps with handling weight better. I think both machines are good tractors though.
How are the loader controls of the Deere compared to the Kubota? That the one thing that frustrates us about our 4066 vs our old case 45. Our case can multifunction no problem, no searching for that In between for curl and raise. Also that front grill does come off, the head light connector is b**** to disconnect.
Both are really good tractors. I had a 4066 before and actually had one on order when I got the mx. After running the mx for a year I just couldn't get used to the pedal and it didn't have the power that the Deere had.
I used to have one. A buddy of mine has one now. I actually just got a woods super seeder with the discs on the front. I had to modify the gearing of it to be able to primary seed but I think I have it worked out now.
As far as I know the only place in Canada that makes tractors get a plate is Quebec. But they don’t really claim us and we don’t claim them either. They’re…. Difficult.
Its all in what you like and going to do with it. I have no problems with the John Deere performance my major complaint with them is the cost to maintain them. Now with that being said i'm a little older than you so back in the day i started off with them but parts prices and the way they do business in my little town i did much better leaving them for Kubota products . Its nice and good luck with it. What are you going to do with the kubota.
Well everything I do with my Deere is better. Yesterday I was spraying fence lines to kill them off. I do it with the back window open. I had the ac on 2 and it was really cool in there. It was probably 80 and humid. If you do go with Kubota id suggest getting the 6060 over the 6000. The features are a little nicer. But Im in my tractor for days when I use it.
because there was only 2500.00 difference in the two tractors at the time of buying them. And I ended up putting another 1800-2000.00 into the Kubota in extras to narrow the gap. So at that point the Deere was 500.00 more for allot nicer tractor.
The biggest difference between Deere and Kubota is the no factory front 3pt on the Deere. I know you can put a zieberg kit on for several thousand but it should be standard
Is the idea on the Deere that the front plastic hood piece is supposed to be the screens for the coolers?
Nice comparison, I enjoyed the video!

@@skidco that is odd that it changed that much!
If you get a chance go try out a Kubota Grand L6060. Let us know what you think comparing that with the Deere.
Ill see what I can do.
I still like the kubota especially if you have to do anything with hills center of gravity is lower

Deere for AG. Kubota for Utility. MX6000 is a perfect machine. Kubota makes the entire tractor.

I don't mind the loader controls in the Deere. The Kubota wasn't as smooth multi functioning
@@skidcoamm doing both functions easily and smoothly is what kubota is known for your loader valve must not be adjusted right
I have the mx 6ooo no cab l love .it costs less.the front axle is beefy bigger tires .the seat is the only thing l don't like

Off topic question. Did you say in one of your older videos that you have a Brillion Till and Seed? If so have you any video content on it?
Thanks
I used to have one. A buddy of mine has one now.
I actually just got a woods super seeder with the discs on the front. I had to modify the gearing of it to be able to primary seed but I think I have it worked out now.
I will never buy a Deere due to their horrible stance on right to repair. Just bought a MX6000 and the same unit from Deere was over 10k more.
Same here. I just traded off 250k worth of deere tractors I use in my business.
As far as I know the only place in Canada that makes tractors get a plate is Quebec. But they don’t really claim us and we don’t claim them either. They’re…. Difficult.

Traded it in. They gave me really good money on it.
I had made my mind up that I did not want a deere and I was going to get either a MX6000 or an L6060 but now i might have to go check out the Deere
Well everything I do with my Deere is better. Yesterday I was spraying fence lines to kill them off. I do it with the back window open. I had the ac on 2 and it was really cool in there. It was probably 80 and humid.

I have a 2032 and I have dropped lots of things on the hood and not broke it
Yep. It doesn't bother me being plastic.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️👍Same here.! Love my 3046r cab tractor.!
Too bad the Deere is all electronic and you can't work on much of it.
Why compare a base model to a premium model. The m6060 kubota is a better comparison.
because there was only 2500.00 difference in the two tractors at the time of buying them. And I ended up putting another 1800-2000.00 into the Kubota in extras to narrow the gap. So at that point the Deere was 500.00 more for allot nicer tractor.

You can get the zeidberg factory now on almost all or all the models now.
