Thorens Excelda Pocket Gramophone, Ben Selvin & His Orchestra

Here's a clip of my c.1935 Thorens Excelda portable gramophone playing 'Honey' performed by Ben Selvin & His Orchestra. This type of machine, sometimes referred to as cameraphones due to their resemblance to a folded camera, were produced from the mid 1930's until the end of the 1940's. This example is of the earliest design with a wooden horn and a mica diaphragm on the soundbox.
The disc is Columbia 1800-D and was recorded 9th April 1929.
