Only the OG's would know the obscure military RTS known as R.U.S.E

I kinda expected to see wargame red dragon. Highly recommend it look it up you wont regret but its overvelming at first sight

Totally agree. Red Dragon is #1 !
World in conflict.. Its one of the best modern rts games i have ever played. And the story too. Everything about that game was soooo sooo goood. Wish there was a sequel to it :(. But after the last mission the description said you might be called back to europe again so i am guessing there was supposed to be a sequel. Sadly the game got forgotten... The devs don't post any news, its not on steam, can only buy it from GoG. Man i wish there was any way we could bring this to the devs attention to make a sequel. Hope massive development does something about this.

I just played world in conflict again yesterday, such a good game. I got a free copy via uPlay when the made multiplayer open source, but sadly nobody's on multiplayer
Very good. I was thinking to play it myself once again as well. Unfortunately since Game Spy has shut down most multiplayer is not existing anymore. Notwithstanding it's an older game I think it is worthwhile and has re-play ability. They don't make games like that anymore. Everything is focused on loot-boxes and maximize profits, the game is secondary in today's gaming industry. Games have been "dumbed down" so much it's really not funny anymore. For e.g most FPS games have x-ray vision implemented what is the purpose of that is beyond my understanding. Just to give an example. Anyways thanks for commenting and my best wishes to you.

They need to make a game like Full Spectrum Warrior, that was fire! imagine where you call the shots and if you make a mistake, you feel the weight of that mistake.
@Ric I highly doubt that we will see something like Full Spectrum Warrior in the near future. Unfortunately there are only two games FSW and Ten Hammer. I did a play-through of the first one on Authentic difficulty. Personally that was challenging to say the least. It is true that every mistake you make in FSW you gonna pay dearly. Sudden strike 2 was the shit back then, and I still play it till this day! Personally, it’s the best RTS for me
Sorry for my late reply but I needed to fix my cooling system in order to avoid destroying my CPU due to overheating. I was actually a lit bit more into the Blitzkrieg franchise which is similar. My favorite remains still Operation Star Mius Front. Most people are shying away due to a steep learning curve. Thanks for dropping by and leaving your comment which is very much apprecaited.
Wargame Red Dragon should have been #1. I cam from Ancient war games like Rome Total war, but Red Dragon made me fall in love with Modern war RTS games.

I am am in need of help. I am new to pc gaming. Would some body please tell me how crusader kings, medevial empire, and total war are different? If I like tactics, which one is better?
Sorry for my late reply. Of all 3 games listed I would opt for the Total War series. Beyond your tactics during the battles there is the management of your empire to be considered which I thoroughly enjoy. Take a look at some you tube videos there's plenty of stuff to be found. Watch some and then opt for the game you like best. My best wishes to you. 😀
Sudden Strike is amazing! Sudden strike 2 is my favourite things in the series.

PLUS COMBINED 3D VECHLE OF ALL SORT FROM LAND SEA & AIR.
SEE HOW GOOD THE DETAIL WILL BE IF SEEN FROM AERIAL OR BIRDS VIEW.
AND DONT FORGET THE PHYSICS APPLIED TO THE GENRE. :3

@@wargamerarmaverse6272 Absolutely. Like battlefronts combat mission series. I'm playing combat mission shock force 2 right now. They do a lot of WWII stuff but this one's modern warfare although I'm finding it a bit easy even on elite difficulty. I need more challenge! 😉

Thanks for the video. Most of these games are tank-focussed cheesy arcade style games. The two that have caught my interest are #9 Theatre of War and #1 Graviteam Tactics so I will research those further. I'm an avid Combat Mission player, so it will be difficult to replace that one!
Hi Mark C. I agree most of them are arcade style games. If you look more into "realistic" Strategy games than Graviteam Tactics is the way to go. Theatre of war was kind of a predecessor of Graviteam Tactics. Game mechanics are very similar. Graviteam has brought the game to a whole new level. The game has a steep learning curve you can't just jump right in and start to play. But the reward comes once you understand the game mechanics. I love the Graviteam series. I never tried the new Combat mission I'm still stuck with the old ones depicting WW2. I saw some video's though it looks interesting. Thanks for leaving your comment. All the best.

I'm playing only on PC I don't have a console so I guess I'm missing out on some great games as well. Coming back to Graviteam Tactics it's most probably too complex to be ported on console. Hi, nice list ! Very nice to see someone who is eally looking for the historical stuff.
Do you know any game which has a very good historical content concerning armies ? Like SD2 for instance. You really play the historical divisions and I really like it. In most historical games, you play "historical units" but not really the battlegroups as they were. Do you know what I mean ? In SD2, you stick to the historical battlegroups during campaigns, but in multiplayer as well, that's not the best for game balance, but I do really love. Can we find any of this in any other game ?
Graviteam Tactics is pretty much faithful in his historical settings and battle groups - units in general. It has a great replay-ability value because the outcome of the missions depends on the tactics you use. It's the number one on the list. The only thing is that Graviteam tactics has a steep learning curve but it is amazingly growing on you the more you learn all the possibilities you really have at your disposal. It's more kind of a simulation. The only thing is that before jumping in you have to learn the game mechanics and controls. Graviteam is most probably the closest to SD2 in terms of historical accuracy.😁

Game play footage. If u don’t want to verbalize, maybe a short text scroll explaining WHY it’s you’re favorite. Chopping up trailers made by a marketing team is not difficult. You’ll get “a type” to watch this channel, but some ppl see right through it.

I'm from Europe and I'm honestly not able to give you an answer regarding World of conflict and it's multiplayer servers in Asia. This game was released in 2007 and after the game-spy shutdown most servers went offline and the multiplayer died. Unfortunately I can't tell you if there are active World in conflict servers in Asia. You would need to do an Internet search.. Have a look at this website it might help. www.massgate.org/. Anyways, I'm not into multiplayer lately too many hackers and people who cheat but rest assured the single player is still worth it.

wow your video reminded me of all the great rts games i played back when my pc was a desktop.. there is one i cant think of the name of that was similar to world of conflict.. it was in cold war europe nato vs warsaw pact.. there was a ssecond game that i think was called red dragon us vs china.. dam wish i could think of the name of that first game i think europe was in the name .. any one remember that one ?

Graviteam Tactics are good but the interface are so damn complicated for that it should be nr 3 COH 1 nr 1and MOWAS 2 nr 2
Hello Elmer The list is a personal preference of mine. I always loved and still love complex games with a steep learning curve. I understand that a lot of people shy away from Graviteam Tactics because it takes some time to learn all the complexity of commands you can issue in this game. By no means is it perfect but the sheer possibilities this game gives you, you have to pay the price to learn to play the game before jumping in and playing. It's no instant gratification. It takes quite some time to get familiar with it. I assure you once you mastered the complexity of the command system it is one of the most gratifying games experiences I had. @ Lucibal search on TH-cam Graviteam Tactics Miusfront watch some videos. It has a steep learning curve and it takes some time to master the game. But once you get the hang on it, it's going to be one of the most satisfying game experience in an RTS you will ever have. It is my favorite game when it comes to RTS. Most people get scared away because you need to learn how to play. It's challenging. You can't just jump into it and play. The scale is huge IMHO. Maybe take a look at Theater of war as well which was the predecessor of Graviteam Tactics, the game mechanics are similar. The difference is that Graviteam tactics brought the RTS gaming to a whole new level. If you like a challenging game play that's the way to go.

Hi melon shop, can you give me an exmple of another game with 2D sprite for infantry units and 3D for vehicles. Not being a native english tongue I'm not sure if I understand correctly. Are there any other games like you described and if so, can you name one in order for me to understand and maybe come up with something you are looking for.

don't understand why creators do not show their sub count, embarrassed or what?
hi MatrixNative I don't perceive myself as a content creator and why does it bother you when no sub-counts are being shown? My channel is very small, the reason why I deactivated the sub-count was due to the "wanna be friends" period. Small channels got targeted by these people mine included. Deactivating my sub-count stopped this nonsense. I left it deactivated. Why would I be embarrassed by a low sub-count? Should I be embarrassed by a low sub-count? This is just a hobby of mine I started last year due to the lock down and that's it. I hope i could sufficiently answer your question in regards. Thanks for having left your comment. Yeah There are quite a lot of games which have never been published for consoles and vice versa. I have only a PC therefore certain games I will never play but there are so many games out there that it isn't a problem to me. Thanks for commenting.

Call to Arms is almost perfect for a modern war rts in CoH style but they had to make the game in fps, it sucks
Isn't the FPS a choice you can make? You can play CTA as an RTS without using the first person view correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks for commenting.
Combat mission.
I loved the old combat mission games like Beyond Overlord - Barbarossa to Berlin - Afrika Korps. I remember they were quite difficult and you paid for every mistake you made dearly. You needed a lot of patience to win the battles if you rushed them you got your butt handed over in no time. Fond memories. Thanks for leaving your comment. Cheers

@@wargamerarmaverse6272 I dont know, but they said it should be in Q4 of 2020 which means at the end of this year, but lol one week is left and i dont think they will release it, but maybe Q1 2021 it will be available on steam, but i have to mention it is a DLC for a game called Call To Arms. So if you dont have it buy it, i personally bought it when i catched a discount for 10-15€ because 25€ is not worth it.

I personally doubt that it's going to be released still this year given the circumstances of the virus lot's of developers are having troubles to maintain set deadlines. I have Call to Arms and will definitely pay attention to this future release and take a look at it. IMHO Call to Arms is a pretty good game with the unique feature to be able to play the game as an RTS or FPS. This is the most intriguing part of Call to Arms

@@xx_emilis_xx6638 I hear ya. Unfortunately the gaming industry has taken a bad turn down the road. Suits are running most triple AAA games developing studios. They are profiteering from gamers addiction and trying to squeeze even more profits by selling games with half of the assets. Micro transactions, Live services have becoming the norm. They are already earning millions during the sales of a first release but they are making even more money Billions with micro transactions loot boxes and live services after releasing their games. Developers at times are pressured to release games which are not ready for release to keep their shareholders happy. Case in point Cyberpunk 2077 CDPR.
The game was not ready but has been released nonetheless. Sad state of affairs. They are doing it because gaming can be an addiction like drugs or alcohol and they are using the addiction to squeeze as much profit as possible out of gamers. All the best.
