Hi. The HMC1450 is deaigned as a capacitor. I've noticed that you can use a hmc1450 or a model 14500 wich is basicly a R6/AA dimensioned litium battery. You can basicly get them in bigger capacity. Please tell me if the pcb you found on the battery is a charging circuit because i'm wondering if the battery can be replaced with any other that fits or if it needs one specialy deaigned. Can you add a picture of the pcb or just deacribe the components on it?

Hey. Dont loose the original battery. The pcb is actualy the charging circuit. You need to solder the new battery on it or else you risk damaging the new battery or even seting your car on fire. After watching your video i ordered a 14500 battery and replaced the one in my 70mai pro because the camera would freeze after multiple parking survailance captures. The pcb contains a charging IC, a mosfet and if i remember corectly one resistor and one cap. Be carefull with the old battery. When i was desoldering it, it sudently started to heat up. It took me like 10 second to desolder it and even after that i coukd feel it heating up. Threw it in a glass of watter to coolt it down and not catch fire in my house.

Tive um problema do meu carro ter sido rebocado e a camera só gravou aproximadamente 13 minutos de vídeo e acabou a bateria da mesma.
If I have removed the battery and then plug the charger into the dashcam but the dashcam doesn't turn on, it means that the one that's damaged is not the battery right ???
Hello, does anyone know how to reset? I just installed the latest firmware and now it won't let me use it, I get this message: "firmware mismatch, about shut down"... and it turns off by itself. Thanks in advance.

I have purchase the replacement battery from China. It worked perfectly, just plug and play.
Can i use also a battery with a connector of 2 pin or it's a problem?
