The tank hasn't been modded or painted. I had four of the Tanks- "Ultimate Soldier 1:6 scale." It came with a built in volume control. These were the best 1:6 scale -for the money. To bad they no longer make them.
First off awesome video. I just acquired one of these tanks. Mine does not have a remote. Do you know the value of it? Or where to get a remote by chance.
I would say Ebay for parts but the controller issue is going to be hard these tanks at really kind toy grade rc's and they are running off the old crystals setup like 27mzh. So u would have to upgrade too hobby grade electronics or get another one. This is all the help i can give you until i get back on mine. Thanks for watching
Put the battery in the compartment under the tank. I use heng long electronic on mine with the 12 volts battery just take the cover of the rx18 and put a fan over it
Hey! Regarding the RF problems: maybe the the antenna wire in the tank is broken. The 27MHz systems required a long antenna to operate properly. You can simply replace it with any ordinary flexible wire, 20" (50cm) or longer. Do also extend the transmitter antenna while testing!
