One of my favorite defensive plays by Castle is against Purdue in their final.possession in the first half where he navigated two screens and ends up with a steal. Amazing. The crazy thing about shooting percentages at low volume, if Stephon just made 3 more 3Ps, his 3P% would be similar to Jrue Holiday's college 3P% and more people would than talk of comp him as Jrue Holiday but at keast 2 inches taller.
Not saying you don't need perimeter defense on your team to win games series titles or he can't become elite at d one day at sg with some help inside at c and around him as he develops aka also help at sf but in the nba today defense is overated look at kyrie and luka who before the deadline were seen as bad defenders and before the playoffs seen as mediocre still and how they killed the wolves number 1 d and elite perimeter guys plus can score so easily and thus d is harder to quantify unless it's one on one cause teams shoot so much and everyone can dribble and pass now a days making team defense less valuable and since he is not really a wing defender size wise it limits the impact he can have unless he develops into a slashing 3 point shooting ball handling creator...its better to have offense skills first is my point which he lacks..you don't draft someone top 5 to be a 6th man and 3rd guard on a title team...offense is vital
@@arkadefire5909 First, the Spurs don't have a reliable big that can hold the fort while Wemby is resting. Second, Wemby is not just a big he can play power forward. While Clingan can grind it out in the low post Wemby can pop and shoot. Third, the defense possibilities with Wemby, Clingan, and Castle would be insane.
Ya I actually think Clingan at 8 is not a bad idea. Spurs could use more size in the front court going forward. We saw how OKC got absolutely pushed around in the paint against Dallas. However I think the Spurs could also add size later. I'm hoping for Castle or Reed at 4 and a good shooter at 8.
@@marco477utepyea clingan can attack close outs agressively on the perimeter because he will have Wemby behind him And vice versa. It could be smothering. With Castle as point of attack defender 😮
He definitely going to the spurs. Fits the team system like a glove
Sounds good to me.
And Salaun at 8 🤞
@@arnodil5325 Salaun or Cody Williams if still available at 8
Yeah i like it castle at 4
good call

Future Spur but I haven't heard of him working out for them yet
Spurs will take him at 4 and then I’m hoping knecht at 8
If he doesnt get to spurs at 4 then he definitely wont slip past hornets at 6.
new espn mock draft has castle going to spurs with 8th pick.
Castle and cater might be potentialy be teammates at spurs deym 😊
Much more interested in his offense. (1) can he play point… for real. (2) can he shoot 36%+ from 3
?????
Houston is going to get him at 3. Elite defender and scoring potential
Castle #4 and Edey #8
Castle, Vassell, Sochan, Wemby, Edey ; Yucky for the league.
No

If he falls to 5 someone will trade up to get him
Spurs select Castle at 4 and Clingan at 8.
Why would they take Clingan? They already have Wemby, and taking a back-up center at #8 seems wasteful

I’d go with castle and knecht
