    These are quite rare now. I have an older model, it’s a darker shade of gray and has a sticker with “Tangent Bell Chloride Gent” on the gong.
    It’s wired as a super loud doorbell. Works off 12v AC with a standard doorbell transformer.

    How were you able to test it? I just bought one but I'm not sure how to test it.

      Hi sorry for late reply. There are 2 terminals on the backplate labelled + and -. If you put 24v into them the bell should go off. Make sure you have it upright leaning against something like in this video so the striker can hit the gong properly. If you dont have a backplate then just shove the wires onto the prongs on the rear of the unit. Hope that helps!

      @@JmFireAlarms Ah thank you, no problem. I was able to test it by cutting the plug off an extension cord and used wire connectors to hook it up to some of the wire left when the bell was taken down.

      @@JmFireAlarms Yes 240V unfortunately, as I wanted to use it as a 12v bell in a bell box but 12v isn't enough to get it going
