I was waiting for "The Pegasus" when Riker is at the Captain Picard Day projects table with Picard and Troi, picks up a Picard doll and starts doing his Picard impersonation, then nearly walks out with the doll before Troi stops him.
Best of Both Worlds, Part 1 asks the question "Is Riker ready for Command?" and he affirmatively answers that question in the most resolute way possible.
There are so many great Riker moments that you can just say the man's name while mounting a saddle and it's instantly classic. Seriously. The way Jonathan Frakes used his environment, all because of issues with his back and the damn early costumes, gave him that old American explorer attitude that was so damn endearing. The beard was the icing on the cake.
In the first part of BoBW, Shelby needles Riker, accessing him of being hesitant and unsure, but upon the reveal of Locutus, Shelby, Worf, crusher all hesitate. Riker doesnt.
The Carnegie Science Center in Pittsburgh, PA, has had a long-standing exhibit on digestion that has the Klingon Food scene from Matter of Honor on loop, with subtitles, for over 30 years.
Mr. Worf, FIRE. Will live in infamy forever! And might very will be the top line of any of the ST series or movie. I remember it like it was yesterday!
Thank you again Sean. Mr. Frakes has indeed risen time in and time out, not only as the Actor but in a number of important and helpful positions. Seems to me in a Best of Riker moments you almost have to separate the man from the character to truly appreciate both.
I've seen this mistake a couple of times now in TrekCulture videos: The ship is not assigned to the captain, the captain is assigned to the ship. Yes, it makes a difference. Captains come and go, but the ship remains.
Riker from the parallel universe in "Tng - Parallels" should have made the list! Now thats a beard!! Even though it belongs to a somewhat desperate Riker.
I always thought that T&G missed a great message with Will turning down the captain's seat so many times; in that he was perfectly happy and more than competent as first officer and not everyone is capable or should take the the big chair.
There was no question with the number one would be, but it was nice to relive it here. You never mentioned Boimler's beard in the finale of lower decks. Don't you know that growing a beard is slang for a series getting good.?
I’d rather you include Shades of Grey over the manual control column. I was really enjoying the movie, but I still wanted to shout “The Enterprise is not an x-Wing, the enterprise does not have a joystick!”
10.The Measure Of a Man 9.Rascals 8. First Contact 7.Matter of Honor 6. The Pegasus 5.Second Chances 4.Future Imperfect 3.Frame of Mind 2.The Outcast 1. Best of Both Worlds Pt 1
I hate, hate, hate, absolutely HATE LOWER DECKS!!! Here I am, excited to watch a video about one of the best Star Trek characters of all time, and the first thing I have to be subjected to is a clip from Lower Decks! Instant Thumbs Down! After I finish posting this message, I will exit the page and hide the video from my subscription feed. 👎👎👎👎👎
Was waiting for the 'Yes, absolutely, I do indeed concur wholeheartedly!' 😂
"Did you just through an asteroid?" "You're Goddamned right I did." Honorable mention.

Best Riker moment: Live-action Boimler swinging his leg over Captain Pike's saddle and shouting "Riker!"

That red dwarf reference! Bravo editor you are amazing
Jonathan Frakes has such a warm smile and contagious laugh. Many times, he was the heart and soul of the whole show.
7:31 I'm not crying, you're crying!
Exactly… I am crying MANLY TEARS!
In my opinion Mesure of a man has rikers best moment on screen. realising both that he can win and what he will have to do to his friend to do so ...
In the first part of BoBW, Shelby needles Riker, accessing him of being hesitant and unsure, but upon the reveal of Locutus, Shelby, Worf, crusher all hesitate. Riker doesnt.
*"Fire"*
_chills_ 🥹
when Riker makes that Jazz reference and Diana pinches the bridge of her nose I felt the second hand embarrassment.. god it was such a good show.
I think it was a bit criminal that we didn't get to see Riker captain the Enterprise E.

I thought this was going to be 10 videos of him swinging his leg over a chair
He was the character that felt the most alive to me in NG, including all the romanceing the aliens😂
Graphics department messed up a bit on the number 2 card. It still says the last generation rather than the Icarus factor.
OMFG love the Red Dwarf drop.
Nice use of the commander costume with the beard stroke, Séan!
Seán, my apologies for mixing up the diacritical.

My favorite Trek character

Riker may be able to cross over to the 2D universe, but he'll never be left feeling Tongue Tied... :P
"Top Ten Worst Deputy Directors" -
1) Sloan. He made Section 31's top operation - Keeping Worf from ever winning poker after, "The Emissary."
Worf, "computer, remove the ship!"

"Don't even try!"
Chain of Command, Part II, "Well, now that the ranks are dropped..."

What the Frakes? How could you limit this list to only ten? 🙂

Hey its Cat!!!!
I thought the Riker threat with the Romulans In the last episode of ST Picard season 1 was a good one too. Sorry it didn't make the list.
Is that season 1 Riker but with a beard photoshoped on him? it doesn't quite look right
yes insurrection is a long episode.
38
Mostly and better name most pathetic Moments!
