i think it must be one of the most amazing things you’d ever see - if you are lucky enough to to see a manta live. Just amazing. Manta rays are giant ocean wanderers, weighing up to two tons. With the largest brain-to-body size of any living fish, these mesmerizingly graceful creatures are very smart. They curiously interact with people, travel vast distances, and show surprisingly complex behavior. But mantas are under threat, and this is at a time when they could be key indicators of our rapidly changing world.
Is there any doubt as to whether all people who "trust" nature [and 'who don't trust chemicals'"] are also the people who have decided not to trust Progress Itself? Is there any doubt as to whether "nature" [or adopting a "natural lifestyle"] means anything more than simply to consider giving up on continuing to react to new events within/during whatever life[style] you have? Is there any doubt as to whether progress is the only thing which can actually be trusted, and everything else is quite self-destructive?
It makes me so sad when I see or learn how so many animals are recognized as threatened or endngered by so much of the world yet there are countries that not just don't care but also go and use just bits of what they kill. These creatures are so beautiful.
It's disheartening to witness the plight of endangered animals and the lack of concern in certain countries. The beauty of these creatures is undeniable, and it's crucial that we recognize their importance in maintaining a balanced ecosystem. Conservation efforts and international collaboration are key to protecting these species and ensuring their survival for future generations. We must continue to raise awareness and advocate for stronger measures to safeguard our planet's incredible wildlife.
Don't worry the vast majority of species that have existed on earth are now extinct. It's perfectly normal for species to go extinct. Just a drop in the ocean.
The current global economic and political regime forces certain countries to overexploit their natural resources just to survive. Dismantle the regime and you dismantle the harm to our animal siblings. Instead the regime pushes you the narrative that more of it is needed in order to protect us all. Think critically, educate yourself on enslavement in it's many forms and you too will reach this conclusion.
Let's say it how it is. It's the overpopulated asian countries mainly China that are fishing our oceans dry because they care about nobody but themself.
Swam with a couple these amazing creatures in Indonesia three weeks ago. I was in tears and in awe of these curious, gentle and beautiful animals. I hope we can all share the importance of keeping them safe in this world!
What an absolute privilege to see these magnificent animals. Such beauty and so friendly. I hope. they can be saved the world is losing to much of its wild nature.
I've dived with mantas in Komodo, Nusa Lembongan, Yap, and the Maldives...the evening/night dive with them in the Maldives was the most amazing because my vid light attracted a lot of plankton and the mantas kept coming to me, swimming all around, doing the loops you see in the vid, and even bumping me while I was filming just to get their food. Experiences I will never forget ;)
I've learned so much about manta rays how they live, feed, breed and how that driver's interacting with these creatures. I find them fascinating as well as beautiful and they need to be protected.
What is really intriguing is the Manta Rays ability to recognize people and the way they pick and choose who they interact and trust. It's really criminal the way some people treat them as food or use in medicine. It's the same for the whales when certain Asian countries mercilessly kill these beautiful creatures.
I have named my compony after them! 😎 MANTA Marine Propulsion Systems. Once operational, we intend to help fund these important Conservation efforts. So wortwhile!!!
Until recently I had no idea manta rays couldn't sting you. I assumed they just never attacked people and were peaceful creatures. Now I know they're peaceful and incapable. Fascinating
They have been my favourite animal since I was a kid and saw the ray in finding Nemo, I have always found them beautiful, majestic and marvellous creatures. I hope they will be protected we can't loose such beautiful and intelligent creatures.😢❤

My Southren (West Coast ) Gulf of Mexico- mascot Lemon Bay High School - Manta Rays...and as a Marine Biologist major, yes, a truly billant documentary report!❤
Sharks are fairly intelligent and curious as well. They are even able to recognize divers the way the manta has, right before they eat them!!!! Jk lol they can recognize people too, it's freaking crazy to think so many are convinced all sharks are just ocean tigers basically, killing everything. They're not, would love to find the specials on here about sharks lol
I was in a raft that floated a little too far out to sea. A bunch of mantas swam right below me. I was actually terrified and started paddling to shore immediately.
These creatures so beautiful ❤️ I hope they don't get extinct by human deeds Some of the animals are already got extinct and I m scared about them too 😢
They said that they are not harmful to humans but what about the aussie who had a tv show where he was killed by one. Ive fed and petted real sting rays in texas. I was shocked that some one would eat them they are beautiful. thank you for the knowledge about the spots on the underside of them
Perhaps AI/computers could help with identifying, differentiating manta rays by the pictures of their undersides? Similar to how computers search millions of fingerprint files to identify someone from a set of their fingerprints (instead of laborious searching by human eyeballs)?
protect area and full sized manta ray. impossible to fully protect fluanders and species assimulation evolution. but can be protected as a independent species specified as advanced aquatic and rarity.
I so agree and though our creator did create many creatures for consumption by other animals as well as us, the very disturbing thing is when like a ray or shark is killed just for a fin or another piece of it, wasting the rest, just like when land animals are killed for their fur or horns for decoration but the rest tossed. That is not what any were created for.
'It's June, and winter is just getting started...' *Excuse me?* On my side of the world, winter is December, January and February. Summer is June, July and August. Having the seasons in reverse is just crazy. It's insanity. Finding out that Australia does it backwards is proably the fact that'll freak me out the most in this documentary.
Everything humans species find they destroy They don't know the value of such magnificent animals 😢 Let them live their own life and stop eating them 😢
Thanks for the doc but when did we agree as people that it's okay to casualy show the dismemberment of animals? And in the same breath we spek of the harms brough about by fishing.... Is there no harm in desensitizing viewers to animal cruelty? The images should be treated as extraordinarily gastly and should come with a warnin of the intense nature of the footage, not just be used as your average b-roll. I bet you if we stoped being so nonchalant about dismembered dead animals, their consumption would become very much more conscious.
These documentary makers and scientists need to be specific about actually who it is that uses manta rays and other animal parts for their "medicinal" potions. It is the Chinese and not all Asians. Over a fourth of the world's population lives in South Asia and does not consider animal parts to be medicinal.
And one of these rays killed Mr.Irvin ...(?) ( Crocodile Hunter ). You ARE very brave, my friends, being out there in the Unknown. God bless you all, dear friends !!

Thanks for restating what the video does in the first 30 seconds

Majestic Creatures! Thank you for the upload 👍👍👍🐟🐠🐡
The Asians kill all sealife and it makes me unreasonably upset

Country that cares the least- china.

I don't think I've ever seen any animal that exhibits such a peaceful freedom as the Manta Ray.
I've dived with mantas in Komodo, Nusa Lembongan, Yap, and the Maldives...the evening/night dive with them in the Maldives was the most amazing because my vid light attracted a lot of plankton and the mantas kept coming to me, swimming all around, doing the loops you see in the vid, and even bumping me while I was filming just to get their food. wow. just. wow 😮
If i ever had a last wish, it would be to see these incredible animals the way Prodject Manta gets to see them. Truly a dream come true.
I LOVE MANTA RAYS. Thank you VERY MUCH for posting this; especially for free, seeing as I am broke and stranded.
I hope your situation gets better I really do. Please don’t be afraid of asking for help in your community.

Incredible exciting experience underneath the ocean
What a beautiful show! Love that they are really trying to find out more about them. They truly deserve to be saved!! Thank you!
When I grow up, I want to be a Manta Ray ❤

MANTA Marine Propulsion Systems.

What an amazing documentary. They are such incredible animal.
I saw two mantas with the same markings underneath. Exactly the same. I called them Joe and moe.
Until recently I had no idea manta rays couldn't sting you. I assumed they just never attacked people and were peaceful creatures. Now I know they're peaceful and incapable. Fascinating
Amazing!
Thank you for the stunning pictures and history of the mantis.
Belíssima criatura ❣💗👌🙏
We saw them on the Kona Coast at Rays restaurant. Best part of the trip as everything was closed for a hurricane!
What were they serving at Ray's restaurant Manta?
They have been my favourite animal since I was a kid and saw the ray in finding Nemo, I have always found them beautiful, majestic and marvellous creatures. I hope they will be protected we can't loose such beautiful and intelligent creatures.😢❤
Wow!! 😮 they are so awesome! Such a beautiful sight to behold. Mantas are fascinating!! I should've been a marine biologist.👏 👌
Please don’t take this as any type of “rebuke”, may I suggest you ask yourself “what’s stopping me?”
Wow
Absolutely stunning! An amazing documentary, thankyou so much for sharing

It is, isn’t it and we are all really happy so many of you appreciate it. You guys are awesome. Seriously.
Wow! That Vertical climb @ approx 16:30 ish is insane!

These exquisite and intelligent creatures must be protected.there is so much to learn about them and to learn from them
I agree with you
Amazing 😍
Yes yang pertama pin min🙌🏻
They have 10 gills!
Laughed out loud at the way her team was introduced. That was amazing.
So. Good
I have a book titled "Natural Selection". It describes how these giants began to fly. Good book!
Stop letting the world know where they are.
I was in a raft that floated a little too far out to sea. A bunch of mantas swam right below me. I was actually terrified and started paddling to shore immediately.
These creatures so beautiful ❤️
I hope they don't get extinct by human deeds
Some of the animals are already got extinct and I m scared about them too 😢
I think they could learn a lot more with underwater drones because people can't go very deep very far or very fast .
if they are as smart as they say they are, can they do my stats homework? Asking for another manta ray 😊
7:20 It’s like it’s at the spa
What a beautiful animal created by GOD.
Why not create fish that look like remoras and attach remote cameras to the Mantas to track their movements?
This animal communicates and collaborates with a lot of other species underwater... also, they basically fly underwater, like they're free
They said that they are not harmful to humans but what about the aussie who had a tv show where he was killed by one. Ive fed and petted real sting rays in texas. I was shocked that some one would eat them they are beautiful. thank you for the knowledge about the spots on the underside of them
The "harvesting" part was too much for me. Hard to watch something that smart and that I have loved since a child being cut up :(
The meat of the mantas “wings” is absolutely delicious and you’re missing out if you never give it a try!
👍👍👍👍❤❤❤❤
How can people eat them.
Nobody would complain? Hold on, I'm calling the spirit world for Steve Irwin...
How can you tell the female rays from the males?
Lynx Helios Alien Super Star Express
Perhaps AI/computers could help with identifying, differentiating manta rays by the pictures of their undersides? Similar to how computers search millions of fingerprint files to identify someone from a set of their fingerprints (instead of laborious searching by human eyeballs)?
Leave them alone once scientists involved, if they don’t let the world know were they are to stop hunters knowing where they are.
The smallest seem to be the most abundant
how would people feel about being tagged by UFOs?
protect area and full sized manta ray. impossible to fully protect fluanders and species assimulation evolution. but can be protected as a independent species specified as advanced aquatic and rarity.
Isnt everything endangered.
😮😮😮😮😮😮😢❤
Are we really calling the mating ritual a "train" lol?
So, the Aussies complain about others. But down under the Mantoa is unprotected. Who is calling the kettle black?
I wonder how it taste. I wanna try it.😋
I stopped eating all finned fish and crustaceans to support restoration of stocks. Only molluscs! And chicken!
I'm just wondering how someone can see these beautiful creatures and not believe in Our creator!!! They sure didn't happen by accident!!!!!!!!
I so agree and though our creator did create many creatures for consumption by other animals as well as us, the very disturbing thing is when like a ray or shark is killed just for a fin or another piece of it, wasting the rest, just like when land animals are killed for their fur or horns for decoration but the rest tossed. Yeah mother nature is amazing ❤
We're all endangered species.....
how they know tagging doesnt hurt
maybe they try on themselves
the pointy end looks painful

No, he was killed by a stingray

*Steve Irwin has left the chat.*
“Are they actually going across nation boundaries?”……….and they reason we are concerned about that is………….they will need to apply for passports 😎
I hope they don't move into chinese waters those people eat everything that moves.
The Mantas are incredible and beautiful
The opposite of the stain/ skid mark that is god the worthless

Nevermind. This started out looking like a great documentary, UNTIL THE "RESEARCHERS" TOOK OVER.

And one of these rays killed Mr.Irvin ...(?) ( Crocodile Hunter ).
