as always the best 3DS Max tutorials, Arrimus you helped me a lot learning this program and without your tutorials I would not be where I am today, so thank you!
also no Caddy controls are confusing to me too it's not just you, they are not eye candy at all!
While in swift loop you can hold Ctrl and click on edge to select that loop (to edit that). and by holding Ctrl+Shift and click you can remove the loop. Remember release mouse click before you release the modifiers keys like ctrl or shift etc.
I really want that 3ds Max shows what sub-actions for current mode can be done in the status bar.
I like caddy controls because they don't cover up space.
hope arrimus not delete the tut video anymore.
Yes, it was a treasure specially his old videos. I learnt 3ds max from him. Unfortunately he erased all 😢
The new one are not quite there yet. But its good he is trying.
@@tausifkhan2189 Hello, im just wondering, is there any way to find those old videos of him teachig 3d max or is there a way to pay for them. My good friend learned almost everything he needed from this incredible man. He watched around 700 old clips, i could only find first 100 videos and i hope it will be enough for me to start with, but i would like to watch them all. Thanks anyway.
@@tausifkhan2189 any way to find old videos? pay for them or some other way?
Another cool thing about GeoPoly is that it can take an nGon and make it a circle. I use it a lot in that regard.
I’ve been following you for many years. Arrimus my best 3dmax teacher.
6:55 "For many decades academics and scientists have debated what the GeoPoly button does." TRUE xD seems handy though!
The variable radius fillet techniques are really cool! I thought they would be more complicated but you made it seem clear :)
“For many decades, academics and scientists have debated about what the GeoPoly button does, however no one actually clicked on it.”
I laughed non-stop for 5 minutes straight.
GeoPoly!!!
wow, i did nt know all of these, thank for making this.
cool modeling tricks, thank you! ❤
Still learning new stuff from you
#7 and #10 is my favorite! thanks
Please add more videos like this , I Loved it !
i learned a lot just by these 13minutes!
Best teacher ever
omg, swiftloop is so useful!! thank you
I’d love to see some tips on setting up lights properly to render lightmaps for older games.
My lights never seem to come out looking realistic.
Thanks Arrimus
this song is from perfect dark?
ive learned so much from you
very usefull technique. thanks... but maybe the video resolution is low a bit ?
This is great, morreeee we want mooorreeeee :)))
Crazy!! thank you
thank you
These tips are very useful! THX!!a loooooooooooooot~!!!!!!!!!!!
just aaa simple question how can we avoid pinching on hard surafces
Turn off caddy controls. YES YES YES YES YES!!!!
I thought Loop Regulizer only works in Editable Poly, and not Edit Poly. Is this a different script?
This is the edit poly version found on Scriptspot. www.scriptspot.com/3ds-max/scripts/edge-loop-regularizer-editpoly
Could you show us how to make sphere microphone net quickly in 3ds Max. In Blender it takes a couple of minutes, but in 3ds Max I don't know how to make it quickly))) Thanks for your videos, it's so helpful!
vray enmesh could interest you
There are multiple ways to model a microphone net in 3ds Max! Is polygon count a big deal for you? (Like for a game I would use textures with a normal map. But for a high poly prop you could make a sphere, select all edges and convert that selection to splines, then give those splines a radius.)
Amazing
hello) how to use regularizer in edit poly modifier? for me it only works on first leyer (just edit poly, not edit poly modifier).
EDIT- actually this should answer your question. Arrimus has a video about Regularizer! th-cam.com/video/MTUo4ufLVyA/w-d-xo.html
@@PandaJerk007 thanks a lot)
How did you shaped the selected polygons as circles in 5:45?
its a free script, i dont remember the name
@@GilBr0ther Yes! I got it to work with rapidTools' fastEdgeLoopRegularizer. That was probably it!
just search for 'regularizer'
Goood
my friends are trying to make me switch to blender, should i?
Stop being friends with bad boys
What kind of projects are you hoping to do in 3D? If you are going to be pro in architecture or movies then 3ds Max is a great software! If you are more learning as a hobby or you aren't sure yet what you wanna do in 3D then blender is good too. I love 3ds Max and once you master it you can learn other software too. 3D modeling has a lot of different jobs in it! And every software has its own unique strengths
Number 7 - LOL i bought script for that. This is why I hate and love 3ds max. Tons of features that you don't know.
why is the max ui so depressing to look at
I put it on the dark theme honestly. Altough everyone, myself included, finds the dark theme cool and more eye resting, it also gives this sad feeling. I think it has more to do with the viewport background, if that is white and bright, it will definitely change the mood to better.
@@Moldawian Honestly I don't mind the colors but the design is a bit too rigid and corporate. Like something you'd see on the crt monitor of a japanese salaryman in the 90's.
@@Casablancasky oh that, i got u, thats true.
@@Casablancasky @Moldawian I find the 3ds Max UI relaxing. And the dark theme is a must. You might wanna hide the top ribbon on 3ds Max, but otherwise the UI is clean and good layout. Plus the recent 3ds Max updates have made the Material Editor faster and more comfy looking, and the Modifier list has a much better presentation really friendly to search now.
