hey farket, it's nice to see a first timer on MC, here's some tips for you if you plan to play further! 1. Bedrock is tougher than Java, so what you wanna do is gather resources such as wood for housing and crafting table, cobblestone for tools and furnace, ores like coal or iron and food! You can do these steps anytime at any day you want but a base is an important! 2. The bed is also important, like some games it is basically a spawn point, when you respawn you'll teleport to your bed instead of the original place you started first, destroying the bed will result in spawning in the original point. 3. Don't stare at the Endermen, they're the opposite of weeping angels. 4. Minecraft doesn't have a specific goal to do, you just play and do whatever you want. If you have got more questions ill try my best to answer you, good stuff as always man.
This was such a lovely surprise to see! Theres really something special about seeing someone's first experience in minecraft, I had a smile on my face the entire time I was watching. Cool to see you branching out Farket. In terms of creating your own objectives, this game has a lot of options :) When it comes down to it, how everyone plays the game is up to individual taste, maybe building or redstone machinery could be up your alley though? Personally, my first house was just a dirt cube with a garden on top built just for shelter from monsters, I had no clue what my eventual goals would be or what i was supposed to be doing, but now I really enjoy terraforming and building towns/villages/cities. In the early stages of the game, its great to get some resources gathered so you can upgrade your tools and set up a homebase to your liking! Then experimenting and seeing what you jive with gameplay and end-result wise :) If you continue this series I'll be keeping a close eye on it haha. Hope you have fun playing the game with your daughter too! Take care and have a good one man
Please continue this series. This made me cry tears of joy when I seen you play this and try and figure out all the crafting and such. Been with ya for a few years as well so I'm really happy to see some other survival game playthroughs too. Keep up the amazing work Farket
I suggest playing the java edition, the version you are playing has many game breaking bugs and is much more frustrating. Java edition is downloadable from the Minecraft launcher.
Nice it’s awesome seeing someone play Minecraft for the first time, I hope you continue, if not then thats ok, I just saw this in my recommended and thought I will give it a watch
Most of the things you complained about have a mod that fixes them on java. (New item pickup notification, quests, linear progressions, maps, etc) I hope you keep playing! This game can be anything you want it to be with the right mods.
I like the fact that you've noticed the swapped commands for running and crouching. I turned of my sticky keys and set the shift for running and ctrl for crouch as it was meant to be. Thank goodness I'm not the only one who's done that. Amazing video btw, keep it up!
I really enjoy watching your content because you have such a soothing presence, and your voice is incredibly calming. Minecraft is the perfect match for that vibe!
Ahaha, also at 1:56 I think every gamer (I know anyways lol) IMMEDIATELY changes the keybinds to swap them.) Idk why they did that, but I agree its so counterintuitive :') Oh yeah, by the way if you shift-click when you're crafting you can make multiples at a time. Also if you double click on an item (from a chest or whatever) you can grab all the stacks of that item rather than individually having to click everything :)
Here are some goals for beginners: - Make a base - Mine for ores. - Make a farm, both for crops as well as animals. - Find and explore structures like villages
Seeing the Bedrock UI whenever someone says it's their fisrt time on the game just hurts my soul and make me realise that the greedy corporations win again
i love you and the support you have for your family. i dont believe i have commented befor but you have been there for me when no one was. i haven't watched you in a while. im a person who has an interest in miencraft and this mad eme happy to see, i hope you go on with the series of playing this game its really nice. hope you and your family are okay and wish the best for you ❤
Here’s your objective. Get diamond to make a diamond pickax. Use the diamond pickax to get obsidian 10 pieces vidian to make a portal. Search the nether to find another fortress that has a flying flame creature that drops blaze rod. Kill a bunch of Enderman to get their eyes, and use that a fortress. Find the portal to the dragon. Beat dragon and repeat.
@@darka53741 Everyone is speaking of this bug, but since Bedrock came on PS4 i have never had this happen, is this something that can be recreated, or am i just super lucky i still had some bugs but nothing gamebreaking? I spend 500+ h on bedrock edition and there are definetly things that are annoying, especially redstone working differently, but overall i think now bedrock edition is better than ever. Ofc doesn't change the fact that Java version is just so much better for modding
When he said, I feel like people are in pain watching this. He has no idea how nice this is seeing someone discover this game the first time again it’s beautiful.
I'd recommend Using Java, Bedrock isn't optimised well and you'll experience a lot of bugs. If you own Bedrock you can use java for free if you download it in the laucher
@@Lucxasbbx Perfomance is different but bedrock has many flaws in it's code that allow serious game breaking bugs. Java might have a few less frames here and there but in java your charactor doesn't just die randomly.
@@Jiggythehyena it’s not a matter of a few frames here and there trust me it’s day and night, whilst I can run java flawlessly bedrock can still run better natively without any performance mods, as Java players often are required to use performance mods to help the fps. This is truly unexpected, but happy to see you trying new things (specially Minecraft who has endless potential of learning), or just having fun, whatever reason, good to see.
Your thought process about the game being catered to an already familiar audience are very correct. This game has had legendary status for a while, and by that point the content they're adding is meant to spice up the gameplay for people already playing. Besides, for many people, breaking a tree and making tools via crafting table is basically muscle memory at this point
You're experiencing the game exactly as intended, with absolutely no clue! XD Enjoy figuring it out, it's fun to watch; I hope you and your daughter have fun exploring the game together, I'd be happy to spectate on your adventures.
This is super wholesome and brings a smile to my face seeing you discover things in this game for the first time. Disappointing to see you give up instantly though.
I loved this video so much, watching someone learn Minecraft for the first time is always a blast! But seeing things most people do very easily your struggle with, is kind of funny lol
Experiencing it raw is a new thing now, it was shocking but refreshing to see someone play with no clue what they were doing. I need to get into more games that way. There isn't a way to play it wrong, if there's a way to play it right though, you've found it.
Just a couple tips which people have probably already said somewhere. You want a bed to sleep but destroying it will get rid of your respawn point and you’ll go back to the first spawn point, you don’t look endermen in the eyes or they get hostile, and the different types of wood only really matter for building. They are all interchangeable for crafting anything that requires wood or logs (but I don’t believe they can be mixed when crafting)
You may not see this but the Java edition has lots of farms and ways of generating items. I saw one of your videos where you said you love infrastructure and I think you may like playing a survival playthrough of it. You can make iron farms etc.. it's a lot of fun!!
I think one of the cool things about this game is how most of the scary mobs or challenging aspects of this game has an Achille's heel of some sort. Enderman... don't like water/rain and won't attack if you don't look at them. Darkness... torches/fires make light which prevent mobs from spawning within a short radius. Zombies/Skeletons... burn in sunlight.

If you have got more questions ill try my best to answer you, good stuff as always man.
So used to your videos being about The Forest. It's a really surreal experience hearing your voice in a Minecraft video.
I didn’t know this was what I needed but it is
Oh Farket yes please!!! Keep this up I think we'd love to see more :) especially can be wonderful to share hobbies with your kids. You'll love it!
Please make this a series Farket! Great video bud.
Take care and have a good one man
"I don't think I'm gonna be modding this" I really hope this ages poorly.
Atleast OptiFine, i hope

give it a year and hes playing GTNH or RL craft for sure
Well, he can't cause that's the bedrock version
@@Robinator1103 Doesn't owning one version give you both now? Though he may be attached to that save.
0:18 me everytime i open any game made in the past few years
Please carry on with this as a series, very enjoyable
Please continue this series. This made me cry tears of joy when I seen you play this and try and figure out all the crafting and such. Been with ya for a few years as well so I'm really happy to see some other survival game playthroughs too. Keep up the amazing work Farket
Loving the variety
THIS is gold!! Brilliant video, honestly this is great. There is nothing like quite like your first experience with Minecraft.
please continue this, i would love to see where this goes
Seeing you experience Minecraft for the first time brings back memories from 12 years ago. I would definitely continue watching this.
I suggest playing the java edition, the version you are playing has many game breaking bugs and is much more frustrating. Java edition is downloadable from the Minecraft launcher.
@@Dogemantirty3 shut up
Nice it’s awesome seeing someone play Minecraft for the first time, I hope you continue, if not then thats ok, I just saw this in my recommended and thought I will give it a watch
Best thing about minecraft is the modding, you can experience the game in so many different ways once you're tired of vanilla
A rad2 series would be incredible
Is good but you have to atleast know the vanilla things first
@@mart7614 For sure, the only mod I would suggest for a first time playthrough is JEI but it isn't necessary

nighttime is scary
Most of the things you complained about have a mod that fixes them on java. (New item pickup notification, quests, linear progressions, maps, etc) I hope you keep playing! This game can be anything you want it to be with the right mods.
Suggesting mods to a noob is terrible IMO
I wouldn’t suggest mods
I like the fact that you've noticed the swapped commands for running and crouching. I turned of my sticky keys and set the shift for running and ctrl for crouch as it was meant to be.
Thank goodness I'm not the only one who's done that. Amazing video btw, keep it up!
More of this please, but in Java. It great to see, don't give up. Once you get the basics it's fairly easy to survive.
I really enjoy watching your content because you have such a soothing presence, and your voice is incredibly calming. Minecraft is the perfect match for that vibe!
Make this a 200 part series pls 🙏
I'd absolutely watch more of this if you make a series on it. It's great to hear you're having fun!
Make a series!! I would religiously watch this. So much for you to explore and learn
This is out of the blue 💀
Here are some goals for beginners:
- Make a base
- Mine for ores.
That was pretty funny, it's to cool to see someone tryng to discover and undertand something that you like. Hope you enjoyed!
beware of bedrock, cause there is a unfixable bug where you die out of random
@@Jiggythehyenajava is the better game version, but it isn’t optimised at all lol
Bedrock runs roughly 2x better than Java ever has
@@Lucxasbbx Perfomance is different but bedrock has many flaws in it's code that allow serious game breaking bugs.
The way Java runs natively is absolutely terrible.
I am so for this shift!!! Keep it up man we love your content and I can totally see you becoming a good Minecraft TH-camr :)
Windows version is used for crossplay, like if you want to play with someone who's playing on a console or phone, and java is for modding.
Full set of wood tools. I love to see it. Thank you farket this is awesome to see. I have been playing minecraft since 2013
Yeah I'm not buying that you never played it. You gave it away at 0:46. You catch yourself about to say crafting table
He said craft it’s in the name of the game ofc he knows about crafting also said his daughter plays it. I believe him
he can know about the game? jesus dude
bro that’s like watching Star Wars with someone for the first time and accusing them for having watched because they know dart vader is luke’s father
He literally says he’s seen videos of people playing right after that
He also did say he’s daughter has played it before , so he’s daughter might’ve told him about this
@@R.O.T.C._SEEM or he was looking for a crafting menu? He also said he's seen videos about it a little bit in the video
I haven't been watching your sons of the forest videos but its great to see you play a game that was so important to me for so long! Makes ne wanna get a server going with my friends again ❤
This is a series I need haha Love it dude!
This is truly unexpected, but happy to see you trying new things (specially Minecraft who has endless potential of learning), or just having fun, whatever reason, good to see.
dude ive been watching you since the forest 1 tutorials and the fact that you have never played minecraft is crazy to me, im excited to watch this one
i haven’t watched a minecraft play through in years, would definitely watch if this was made a series. nice and chill.
It's interesting to see someone play this game for the first time after having played it for so many years! Thanks for the video Farket.
Your thought process about the game being catered to an already familiar audience are very correct. This game has had legendary status for a while, and by that point the content they're adding is meant to spice up the gameplay for people already playing.
Besides, for many people, breaking a tree and making tools via crafting table is basically muscle memory at this point
I love this. Thank you for playing this haha. I didn't think you would ever touch a game like this. I hope to see you play this more.
You're experiencing the game exactly as intended, with absolutely no clue! XD
Enjoy figuring it out, it's fun to watch; I hope you and your daughter have fun exploring the game together, I'd be happy to spectate on your adventures.
Have not seen farket so happy since the early days of The Forest. Also such a wholesome experience. Good video
You may not see this but the Java edition has lots of farms and ways of generating items. I saw one of your videos where you said you love infrastructure and I think you may like playing a survival playthrough of it.
You can make iron farms etc.. it's a lot of fun!!
Honestly if you do a series on this, it might be the best lets play of minecraft ever
