@@nicholaspreston9586 Exactly, it didn't look cool to me and still doesn't, it's just a bunch random gun parts from two M4s, a M203 and a Barrett .50 cal muzzle brake built around a KRISS Vector with Tommy gun stock. Only people who know nothing about guns would think it looks "cool."

He took like 6 or 7 guns...broke em down, reverse engineered them and created one badass multifunction weapon out of them. Super dope.

Brolin played one if my favorite mcu characters here. He went from a character I knew next to nothing about, after this portrayal, I wanted to know more. Would love to see cable get his own movie!

Yes. In the comics it’s explained as a combination of both. As a baby Apocalypse’s ai computer bonded with Cable’s bionic parts, so when he was a teenager the ai computer started helping Cable and he nicknamed the ai Professor. So between his training with his telekinesis and telepathy combined with a built in computer attached to his bionics it’s all part of his abilities.

Cable is the future son of Cyclopse & The Goblin Queen, the clone of Jeanne Gray, from the future, who travels back in time to help the X Men, and Deadpool ( of course) fight upcoming threats to Earth.

I wonder if when they bring the X men into the MCU they might revise the timeline a bit. What if his techno organic virus is related to the sentinels from days of future past. It would be a good way to bring him and the killer future sentinels into the new movies

He is supposed to be from the far future and he is just from the time firefist is adult. There cannot be that advanced tech from that time
This adaptation is very simplified with drastic changes (Hope being his biological daughter instead of adopted and no mention of his telepathy and telekinesis).

I love how Deadpool movies are so accurate to what I know of mutants and that Marvel comic book feel, but I don't like Cable too much in the movie. He's too agile I don't know. I always saw him as this grumpy, one-shot kinda guy.

In the cartoon cable was from the 40th century the year 3999 A.D. there's no way he could have known Russell as an adult unless he was 2000 years old.
This version of Cable(Nathan) is his own character,the movies and cartoons aren't the same universe/Timeline

Fun fact, cable runs at 50 percent capacity because he uses the other 50 percent of his powers to keep the virus at bay.
The movie leave very vague whether or not this iteration of Cable is like the one from the comics/animated series, a mutant with the techno organic virus or just an average cyborg with special features in his arm.
No mention of his birth name, no connection to Scott or Maddie, and the big deviation that Hope is his biological daughter from the future in here rather than adoptive from the present (she was born from a random woman in a small town in Alaska).

Always wonder which part of him showed the mutant power, cause the robotic part looked like being put onto him through some kind of experiment/surgery, or is it possible to have robotic parts through mutation ?
In the comics, he has / had a techno organic virus ( nanomachines ), slowly converting his body into a machine. He is / was constantly using his telekinetic abilities to keep the spread / infection at bay, which is probably why he doesn't use it very often in the movie, depending on how close the comics this incarnation is.
In therms of raw power, the movie actually never showed any of his comic book mutant powers. He is a powerful telepath and telecinetic, similar to Jean Grey (regular Jean not Dark Pheonix)

I wasn't the biggest fan of this portrayal of Cable. IMO he's way more powerful than he was actually portrayed but w/e :P at least we got his bad ass in a film

Telekinesis and telepathy, 2 of his main powers not shown in the movie? When that rifle came to him, it might have been telepathy but the sound effects made it look like the gun was magnetized to him.
