More importantly don't be a Maria and ignore all the clear signs that they are not over their ex or the fact that they don't really care much about you. I mean that whole speech was about how much nice stuff she has and about her ex.

Poor naïve Maria. I feel bad for her. She is pretty much like all of Villanelle fans who ignores all the crap she says and does wrong and just laugh it off or smile about it. No matter what Villanelle does she can do no wrong; we still love her regardless. It is strange. She is like Jessica Lange in American Horror Story; she can be the most evil character but we all still love to watch her.
God bless Maria. At least somebody wanted Villanelle. Which is more than Eve ever did at the time. But this speech should have had alarm bells ringing. V basically married her for her money.
@@Senate300 Eve did want villinelle. She was just in denial and didn't want to show it or admit it. (It is the same as V pretending she is not upset that Eve may be dead) If you watch season 3 you would see that. Eve reacted to her true desires when she kissed V. Then she head-butted her once she snapped out of it and realized what she was doing. When Eve worked with Villanelle in season 2 the whole time in she acted annoyed by her. That was just Eve fighting her true feeling. Even her husband Nico could see that Eve was becoming obsessed with V to the point where she was ignoring everything else, including her safety. That obsession was also desire.
@@SourStrawberrys Well not enough to not dump Villanelle for playing her for a sucker via getting her to kill for the 1st time. Heathcote did everything in her power to nullify the warfare between her and Eve to which she's owed a huge thank you. I for one saw the Rome Shooting as the final declaration of war. It would've been great to see how Villanelle coped with life as a married woman.

@@Senate300 I saw the Rome shooting as them being even. They squashed their differences. Eve stabbed her and V shot her. They both got their grudge off their chest. Now they see how pointless doing such was. The Rome shooting was the point at which they both waved the white flag. They realized they both don't actually want each other dead. When eve stabbed v she was scared she was dead and when v shot eve she was so happy she wasn't dead.

As well as a master Assassin, Villanelle can now add shameless Gold Digger to her list of credentials. For Maria, alarm bells should've been ringing the moment V opened her mouth. Funny thing is scrapping with Dasha was most fun she had at her own wedding which said it all really.

@@MJ-gm7km Well before the 3rd season aired there was alot of hype and speculation over who was getting married. It certainly wasn't Eve since early snaps showed her working in a Korean Restaurant. So it had to be Villanelle but no one knew what the bride was gonna be like.
Why wasn't the fact villanelle is married ever mentioned again in the entire season. You actually forget at the end when shes talking to eve that's she's married...they acknowledge niko and eves lives together but not villanelle and her wife....did they have a "normal" life at one point that villanelle long a for again with eve?!
I wouldn't put too much stock on Maria. Villanelle got with her on the rebound for superficial reasons. Money and a roof over her head. Besides. She wasn't even her type. According to Heathcote, Maria was just a running joke to kick the season off with.
I wish there was some background on this relationship. I never saw the "wife" before and now they are supposed to be marrying. Can anyone shew light on this?
From the way Villanelle and Maria describe how they met in this scene: some time after Villanelle shot Eve she went to the airport where she met Maria. Presumably she was looking for a distraction from having "killed" Eve, someone who'd played a big role in her recent life and who she had been quite invested in (whether or not she is capable of feeling anything is besides the point). She seems to have an obsessive personality, so she wholly invested herself into this 'relationship' for obviously the wrong reasons (just listen how she describes Maria, in terms of materialistic things rather than feelings). Maria must have been naive enough to fall for Villanelle's superficial charm and so they end up on this day, getting married. One can assume the sociopathic/ narcissistic /obsessive kind of person Villanelle is comes with a passionate, quickly developing yet toxic love which might explain the hasty marriage.
@@anoeska4564 And Villanelle's arrogance, that she can do anything and get out of it, is a good reason she did it so spontaneously. She doesn't fear doing snap decisions.

I was laughing my head off at this when it aired. It's so tragically funny. This psychopath, trying really hard to fit into a world that she doesn't belong. You can tell she's really tried to learn how to behave at a wedding, but she still gets every bit wrong. Like, the only thing she likes about her wife is her clothes and the fact she has a big house😭😆
And imagine Eva would come to the wedding for Dasha's place, then what would Villanelle do with her?

I was so confused by this... How long was there supposed to be inbetween her stabbing eve n getting married? then after the wife isnt even referenced!?!? i just think the whole thing isnt believable like why would everyone else start fighting!? surely she would tell eve she got married... I love the show its the best thing I have seen on TV but series 3 wasnt quite as upto standard as the other 2 series
There are a lot of holes that don't make sense. For instance, V is referring to Eve as being the "ex"... but they were never married!
