Honestly though, that’s a solid idea. I imagine they don’t always do it due to how high the stands go.. it’d be difficult to see the dancers with a roof, and the higher they make the roof the higher chance raise with be blown in from the sides.
Isn’t there something that’s more practical as a dancing surface in the rain? Something with a million holes to let the water naturally run down, while maintaining the surface? Idk.
@@nomanmon there are tons of outdoor venues all over the world that have roofs over the stages, so it's do-able. As for the people in the stands, I'm not sure how much they can see as it is, places like that usually have big screens on the sides of the stage for people who can't see the stage very well, and even those are hard to see. They could always build a roof over the whole stadium, or even a partial roof like Wembley, but that would cost even more money. I don't think the holes in the stage would be good for girl groups and their high heels, but they definitely should have some sort of drainage system.
@@cray-craycrayon575 Ahh true true.. massive stadiums usually have the ability to open and close the top bit for when there are massive storms/snow. Considering how much money is in Kpop, I’d think they’d protect their dancers a bit more during their performances.

yeah but there was no way of canceling the event since its a big event and many people paid for it and if they did cancel it people would most likely not get their money back which could result to lawsuits.
Dancing was definitely unsafe 😱 Since it was a big event and all the fans were there, they maybe could have had the artists just sing or dance very minimally...but they really had to go out there and give their all, and could have been seriously injured

@wonu sloth Come on..that's not at all accurate. There is a LOT of movement in gg choreo that requires a completely different center of gravity than bg choreography and yes...they do fall. Different choreo for different groups (male AND female) can still result in serious injury when performing in inclement weather.

I wouldn’t pay for a concert just to see my favourite kpop groups get hurt, get sick, embarrass themselves and perform a stage they prob weren’t proud of. If I go to a concert I wanna see my fav idols enjoying the stage not slipping on it

This makes no sense, the artist got supported by you going to the concert, some of the fans were cheering as they get soaked in rain too, and i believed that's why the star carried on with the show anyway, to respect the fans that were literally soaked in rain waiting for them. So instead of complaining. Just appreciate them, their self sacrifice and hard work

Obviously they are endangering the dancers, as you can see the ones that fell after they finished dancing, some members were limbing. Smh
they couldn't. the rain was probably not anticipated and the fans were already there and they already paid. cancelling it would only cause more inconvenience for the people. what they could've done was just let the idols sing instead of dance. they could've performed without the dancing stuff

How were the fans supposed to know it was raining? How were the companies supposed to know? During their rehearsals, it was probably fine, but on the provenance day, they can just suddenly say ‘we are singing’. I mean, even though they’d get injured, they can’t just stop all their performances that they practiced for months to get it all cancelled.
V R I didn’t mean it like that what I meant was like they could’ve done a bit of adjustments like for example jumping or spinning they should have changed that not the whole choreography like the members or solo artist should have been told to just walk in those parts or do something

I know we’re all talking about how Taemin was just having a grand ole time, but to be fair, he’s probably got the most experience dealing with wet stages. I’ve seen so many vids of SHINee dancing in the rain at this point it must be second nature for them

I had the same thought, dancing in the rain is hard but bearable, but dancing on a slippery stage is so dangerous. A carpet could've prevent that :/

These are scary because of how hard they fell and the potential injuries in this type of weather conditions. It’s incredibly impressive how professional these idols are to continue performing even in conditions like this, I have so much respect for these idols.
Little fun fact for you: a slippery stage can cost a performers life. The company that put together the event should’ve cancelled it after seeing the dangerous weather conditions. How unprofessional of them. However congrats to the idols for remaining professional and continuing with the performance despite obvious concerns

@@tommyo2450 while I understand and am on the side that I feel they really shouldn't have preformed there I think we as people also have to take into account of the idols and the people running this event as well. They couldn't have predicted it would rain and imagine going to a loop event, have it rain, and be sent back home with out a performance. Many fans would be very upset and angry that they wasted their money leading to backlash possibly. I am not sure whether or not this would happen anywhere else but what can I do? I understand that this was dangerous but while this isn't an excuse also take into consideration that idols sometimes will continue even if they are hurt because this big of a stage could promote them greatly especially for unknown groups. I'm sorry if I come off as rude and if you do find something wrong with my thinking/opinion you can try and show me why it's still completely but anyhoo sorry for my rant. 😅

This is why stages that are built in an open space venue like this shouldn't be slippery especially when there is rain. The organizers, staffs even the stage director should know about this.
They were falling everytime that was bad , but the members are helping each other that is so sweet.

I'm a dancer and there was one time where I dislocated my shoulder while dancing but you have to be professional in this kind of situation and keep dancing I hope that Jisung wasn't in so much pain
It's because all the fans has paid for their perfomance,and of course they didn't want to make their fans dissapointed with canceling their perfomance, I felt them TT they just want to give the best to the fans but weather hated em so much on that day hshshshshs
this event should’ve been canceled! not only was it raining, the stage was slippery etc -
boy groups: harder choreo/lots of jumping and footwork
girl groups: heels and short/long skirts

money is one of the main reasons as to why this wasn't cancelled. think of how many fans were there to support multiple groups, and how much money the venue and companies raked in because of this event. am i supporting this? nope. this is just how it has to be.

Ahh I feel so sad for them! Big props to them for still giving their all, but as a fan i would’ve totally been okay without them dancing to prevent injury! Like just seeing all these groups together in concert is already awesome. No need to go full out, I hate seeing them hurt :(

If those idol kept on falling like that it can cause severe ligament damaged or perhaps fractures on their bones what if when they go down those staircase they fall straight to the ground instead of just slip?
