For everyone: If you pair has a chinese mark - it does not immediately mean that they are fake - the protection pack sat on the shelf in china at offical new balance stores (yeah chinese also wear originals - dont be racist) - also the insole hole check is not accurate because it depends on the size of the shoe where the holes on the insole end up
- so you need a second pair of the same size to check that - also the shoe tree papers can be different - i recieved two different shoe pairs with two different shoe tree papers inside - both are legit
I would say the best spots to check it are the overall colour, the suede material and the seams that are difficult to see, and the heel part especially the holes on the back part (in the video you can see how unclean they are and on the original pair, they run in a sharp curve)

Thank you for the help! I can confirm. I just bought one and checking, there were slight differences regarding the cutting of the suade and with slight positioning of the treads and back transparent yellow logo new balance mark part and the video. But I just concluded mine are legit with the furriness of the suade, the diamond tread spacing at the side of the shoe, and the maroon stability web logo on the bottom of the shoe. I got a size 9 with china marks and as you said the insole hole positioning were different with a hole above the c, not inbetween the bottom of the c likein the video. I think the way these are manufactuered that the cutting and positioning of the suade stitched on will be not exact and slightly different from pair to pair.
@@thekkaolliI just got a pair from stock x too. From china I believe. The box looks like the fake ones in this video which scares me. But the suede is so fuzzy, the maroon logo is dark and the holes on the back look clean with the suede not being fuzzy on that area. From those 3 things I think they’re legit as well
You can’t tell from box color. For some reason NB grey boxes come in different shades
I have a weird R8 on my box when shining blue light, and then on the back of the shoe there’s invisible ink/stitching marks at the exact half way, normal or fugaze?

My box looks just like the Chinese label. Suede is very thin and I had to brush the suede for hours…to make it look close to real. Date on shoe saids 9/22 so not sure if that’s right. Oh yea box had a stamp on it. Found it near the goat barcode sticker on the outside. Looks like someone tried to take it off but the stamp is still visible. Get a black light flashlight to check everything! Especially with that box

So mine checked out on everything you said except mine came from goat out in china tho an it does have the yellow circle sticker but everything else fall in place with what u have so mine must of been a china release ??
i received mine from goat too! and i also had the same sticker. talked to a couple of ppl and was informed tht these were sitting on shelves in China NB retail stores. so it can be a china release. I was freaking out for a second tho lol

My box has Chinese label but the colours are right even on the web part on the underneath also the swede is rugged and resembles new ones

Hey bro, good review abour 2002 rain cloud. Did you see the prices in Stockx is going down? It’s because New Balance China been restocked this cw imo. They call “Refined Future” the Protection Pack collection and there are some differences between them. The main difference is the “first” Protection Pack was made in Vietnam meanwhile “Refined Future” are made in China. Suede is not that good as it was and quality decreased. How about make a review comparing both (supposedly) legit pairs?

FYI: This pack has always been called the „refined future“ pack. „Protection Pack“ was just the nickname that was given to the original 3 pack of pairs, by some sneaker magazine or shop, before the official name was revealed. Protection Pack just stuck, it there is no difference to the Refined Future pack. However, I can‘t comment on the quality of any restock pair, compared to the og drop.
@@Gojo1911 I bought a pair from Stockx and they aren’t the OG pair. Now they are made in China and quality is totally different compared to the OG ones, that were made in Vietnam. They were returned to Stockx same day

@@Thomasaynsley I returned my pair to goat. I did a lot of research and I believe them to be fake, but others have said they could still be authentic due to China's official new balance site still had pairs available and they had the same mfg date.

Goats been doing a lot of fakes lately. A lot of sending one real shoe and one fake. Most likely so the person could sell two pairs. They are probably only checking the first shoe out of the box. Even though they are supposed to check both sneakers.

I hate these bias reviews. Dude is trying to put every difference in negative light. I love how when he gets to the back strap of suede - and says - this is opposite of the other suede - the fake is more furry which hides the perforated holes more. But now this is not good haha
