Hi Richard this video is excellent. I was wondering can you archive a full database to remove several years of orders customer etc is this possible. I am back home from hospital all your videos kept me said stopped me being very board Steve b
Hi, thanks so much for the video. I am creating an archive for my company's personnel files (about 6000 employees), and each file has various documents scanned and added. I would then like to share this database with colleagues. My problem is pdf files. If I link the pdf file from a shared folder on the server, all colleagues will be able to see everything, not just the record they need (there will be user levels etc.), so I thought about attaching all the files to each record so as to have more control over every single record, except that this way I will soon reach the 2GB limit. I'll try to follow your tutorial and do the split, see if I can do it.
Need a little help. Followed your tutorial to the letter and it worked. Office manager wanted the achieve to be in a different location on the computer. In doing so it messed it up. I've since started over using the same database with the append and delete Q's. Copied main, renamed, deleted and linked as you showed and I accomplised before but now it gives and error that it can't output to my table. Any ideas?
Oh appreciate, but many videos are special so that can't get any idea from it. So how i can become a member, and how much is it for permanently... Regards
Thanks for the clear, step by step video !
You are welcome!

Glad you're home. You can remove as much or as little data as you want.
Would you archive old customers? Of course I would not delete them but are these steps the same with customers?
Sure... the type of record doesn't matter.
