The Ark and the animals are lovely! I think being an evacuee must have been the most scariest thing for those little children and heartbreaking for the parents to let them go! Lovely book again thanks for showing us!
The ark is so gorgeous. I am sure the children would have loved playing with it when they were younger. I can just picture you with your hot water bottle and dressing gown. Very cute !!
Love your Noah's ark.Shirley Hughes is my favourite children's author! I have read Dogger a million times, and the Alfie and Annie Rose stories are just beautiful!
Lizzy’s notes to self, adorable , bless her. Never would tire of Ian and his bell 🛎️, so handsome. Lovely black cat bags Paula. Doesn’t it drive you mad when you can’t find something, then you find everything you weren’t looking for 😂 Hugs, Suze. 🤗x
The Noah’s ark is adorable. My parents families were evacuated, we live in Guernsey which was occupied in the war. My dad was in Bury and my mum was born a month before the war ended in St Helens in Lancashire. Have a lovely weekend xx
I used to love reading the Shirley Hughes books to my Son, particularly the Alfie and Annie Rose books. Another favourite was a Shirley Isherwood book Something for James ( I think it was a little toy rabbit that arrived in a parcel one day). I still miss reading to him, wouldn’t be so bad but he’s 30 now!😂😂
My mum was an evacuee, she loved it! She was an only child and went from central Croydon to a farm in the countryside and had a great time with other children. Her mum missed her dreadfully. 😂
Paula maybe you could have a go at drawing one or two of your favourite illustrations from that Shirly Hughes book. Just a thought. I love Shirley Hughes drawings.
Love your vids I love Alfie and Annie Rose I'd love to get one of your cat bags but I'm never quick enough I have a gorgeous Black Cat called Milo he loves watching Ian xx
Love your cat bags❤ that book was beautiful like your Noah’s Ark. what patience you have Paula. I thought I’d give you a laugh in that I’ve started calling the gravy bone biscuits my springers (Bertie & Reg ) love, special favourites lol they started off as favourites and just became special favourites. I can’t get enough of Ian and his bell. Thank you for your time to spend with us. Xx
Love that noah's Ark. Did the kids play much with it? ❤ No i cant imagine sending your kids away during ww2😢 must've been so hard😢. Much love Paula xxx
The illustration in that book are fabulous. 😻 my junior school Enid B books were banned. We have a pompous headmistress that didn’t like them. But i read them at home and thought they were wonderful. You have brought it all to mind. 🥰. I soo want to pinch Ian….he is just the most handsome clever cat ❤. X

The ark is amazing! What a treasure. Ian just makes my day when he rings the bell. I think my Dexter and Dylan need a bell😆
The ark is so lovely. I wish I could knit things like that. My grandkids would have loved that to play with when they were younger.
