Wow. I was not expecting that yet being able to still keep it professional was impressive. A bad roll would mean rehab/physio or else it'll just get worse. It's a red flag if your ankle rolls so easily in any sneaker. Health is wealth.
I'm convinced that this is the only (or 1 of the only) channel in the world where people review and buy shoes just for the simple fact that they like and review shoes. For some reason, with most other TH-camrs I feel like they only do it because they want to make money with it, Hypebeasts, or a collector. That is 99% of them. I bet most of them just collect Jordans, but wear Crocs or something stupid like that lol.
I know you guys don't like to do performance reviews of stuff you don't like but I think it's needed. This was a great video because there are similar styles of shoes with similar tooling and built so people can now know what to look for.
Played in a pair of these yesterday. Can confirm these are the comfiest shoes I've played in, in a long time. Mid sole is awesome! Haven't experienced any slipping laterally. At no time did I feel as though my ankles were going to turn. Just my experience, however this doesn't mean it won't happen in future.
Dude this is very left field but I live in the UK and here in Europe handball is big (mainly in the mainland continent)..well they have kinda made a version with this midsole material with their handball shoes, and because of the upper set up it is wayyyyy more secure fit.... Handball having the similar movements to basketball the shoes (yh there are two models!) can work for bball!! One is called Accelerate Turbo Nitro Handball Shoes And the other is Eliminate Power Nitro Handball Shoes All puma, wish they directed this to basketball too 😅
I wonder if the Black Fives edition is any better for lateral support? They have a full row of reinforced lace holes with no elastic band, and the medial surface seems to have some sort of synthetic leather. Anybody have these and can speak to this?
Why can’t brands just make a slight upgrade to shoes when they have a banger? I never understand why they make great shoes, not make enough pairs and colour ways then completely overhaul the design next year The shoe is never as good
I'm in my mid 40s that can move like mid 30s...at least I'd like to think so. But at the end of the day, my body still hurt like 40s. I've been stuck with the PG1 because everything I tried doesn't have the comfort I'm looking for - from the Dame 4, PG2, some Kyrie, Lebron Soldier 4 - they just don't feel comfortable. However these puma feel very comfortable and soft on my feet. I will definitely be balling in these going forward.

Got the shoe with very high hopes based on the all-pro reviews. I've played with it twice now on clean indoor courts Grip- yes, bite is excellent Cushion- nice and comfy My issue is lateral containment. Foot kept sliding inside the shoe and I felt like I was gonna do a Manu Ginobili and rip through my shoe because it felt very thin.
Got my blue pair in today and from an initial try on these feel spectacular. Traction, cushion, fit, & lockdown are all on point! Unfortunately, I won't be able to take these to the court and test them out for a while. If I don't run into the support issues that you did, then these have the potential of being god-tier shoes. Cranking the laces on the 2 straps on the lower side along with the 3 lace loops on the upper side along withe the plastic fuse would make me think that it would provide adequete support. I'll report back on these after I play.
Ok, great video, very informative. It's not good when you can actually feel your foot and ankle start to roll in the shoe. I've been hoping that Puma would get it right, as far as basketball is concerned. They made a signature shoe for Vince Carter back in the 90's called the Vinsanity. It was a great shoe to play in, plenty of support for all directions,and it was made from decent leather. Thought that it would be the beginning of a good line of shoes,but Puma couldn't back it up. Thanks for your honesty in reviewing these. Maybe Puma takes the hint and makes it better.

What you need is a basket ball hoop with a bin below it 😂. Shame those sneaks didn’t make the mark like not even close. That ankle role looked like a trip to A&E bruh. No thanks!

So for the Puma Clyde all pro I have a slightly wider foot would you recommend going up half a size because my size changes (like most people) depending on the shoe what size would you recommend
I had the same issue with the New Balance Omn1s and the Convers pro bb then and now, just kept on rolling my ankles and had to stop playing on those. The clyde all pro were just dope, so are (in a lower rank) the jordan 35.
That's a shame about the upper really giving no support because my daughter's soccer boots of the same design are here favorite and actually have given her the most stability she had ever had in all her years of playing. So much that even while wearing them in the house on hard word floors she walks like she isn't wearing shoes. They even have given her more confidence on the pitch because she is not thinking about rolling an ankle or anything, she just plays now.
The thing that is weird when I got the all pro I had the same issue of my ankles rolling and one of the times I wasn’t even playing I was coaching and showing a play at half speed and the grip stuck so well my ankle just gave out so I ended up having to return them because it was too risky even though I loved the shoe 😔
I did roll my ankle the second time I used them but I’ve gone on even harder plays since and I was fine. I actually like them a lot but they get dirty inside super quick. I have a wide foot btw.
I still feel like the Clyde all pro isn’t getting enough love. All I want is more color ways bc it’s my perfect shoe for hooping. My pair is so beat and my feet are actually tearing up the cushion on the inside. I want to buy another one but I only have like three color ways to choose from and they’re not that great 😐

I’ve had the same experience with shoes in where I destroyed my ankle in a particular pair (LeBron 17) and just did not wanna wear them anymore

Did u get the half sizes or did u get normal size also are they wide in the inside

Sad to see puma ruin a good thing with a shitty upper. Don't really play basketball but Chris is so good with his performance reviews.
Fuzion Fit band works really well with their Future football (soccer) boots but well it seems it didn't translate well to basketball.
