- My FIRST AMERICAN Food challenge of 2024🇺🇸 And it didn't start off easy...MASSAPEQUA MONSTA
I landed in NY and within an hour I was at Krisch's Restaurant, a classic American ice cream parlour that serves fantastic tasting burgers!! And this one was a LOT bigger than in the pictures...

- 2lb (1KG!) thicccc beef patty cooked to perfection
- Kirsch's Famous Slaw (about 2lb!!)
- Waffle fries (these were so good!)
- Bacon cooked crispy!
- Tomato, Red Onion, Lettuce
- Krisch’s Special Sauce (burger sauce but better!)
All on a 2lb Homemade soft bread bun!
This was honestly one of the best burger challenges I've ever had...
I just wasn't expecting it to be that big...but I suppose it is America!! 🇺🇸

First challenge in America fresh off the plane. There have got to be easier ways to beat jetlag! 😅
Well, you learned an important lesson Max: never underestimate American portion sizes!
That said, not all the stereotypes are true; the amount of Healthy Vegetables on this challenge would be enough for even Randy Santel to be happy.
A balanced if somewhat oversized meal, and tasty too! Great job finishing and kicking off your trip in style, and congratulations on the win!! 🎉

I love lettuce sandwiches by the way…..really fresh bread, big chunk of lettuce, mayo (no miracle whip mayo!), salt and a crapload of pepper! Yummmooooo!!!
I love them too. Iceberg lettuce is the best because it crunches better than other lettuce. My Dad's wife tried to sneak in spinach, once. Boooo!

Had to laugh at your jet lag, if you get on a plane in Perth Western Australia and fly to Cairns Queensland, takes the same amount of time and you don’t leave the country lol. Love how you eat everything together😊

Great looking restaurant, wonderful looking burger. Have a great Holliday out here you 2. Please try to get some Southern food while on this side of the water. Tell us the reactions of the restaurant owners when you beat these challenges in a fraction of the time allowed. Are they baffled, and amazed? I love hearing about the feedback you get from the live audience watching including from the staff.
I really should have a camera facing out to show that! Yea they are often really surprised! One owner recently said it was impressive but also scary 😂😂

Seen a couple of attempts at the kitchen sink ice cream challenge and they have hot coffee for there drinks to help them and help the brain freeze.

that looks like an 3.5kg'er.. I've noticed that with american challenges as soon as they get beaten more than once the restaurant will increase it's size a significant amount, this one probably doubled in size from when it started :P

@@MaxvsFood When the SML crew filmed the episode Bowser Jrs breakfast back in 2014 they went to Waffle house and mostly got 3 of the items from there those being the cheeseburger the sausage biscuit and the eggs probably for the 7 pancakes I hop would be a good choice and any Pizza place would be good for the pepperoni pizza

idk if i can do medium rare, little to no pink for me. I don't want my burger too soft and falling apart. Coleslaw is hit or miss. If it's properly made, sure put it on a burger! I'd like to know your thoughts on sodium levels of American challenges vs everywhere else.
Very true! I agree, has to be good slaw. To be honest, all challenges, US or UK have way too much salt usually, I don't think US is any more so thou
