- In this video, I show the use of Geomagic Design X Software to reverse engineer a blisk. A blisk is a turbomachine component comprising both rotor disk and blades. It consists of a single part, instead of an assembly of a disk and individual, removable blades. I show how to use the cylindrical method of creating 3D mesh sketches on one of the blades. Multiple radial cross sections are created and used to create a surface loft. Additional surfaces are created then trimmed together to make a solid body. The blade is copy/rotated to make the blisk. The use of 2D mesh sketches are also used to create features.

3:35 ah that’s how you do these variable fillets. On second Click, hold. Couldn’t figure it out.
Very Informative video😃

Thank you for tutorial.

What's the point of your lesson if you didn't give a practice file?
But in reality, you will be confronted with scan data that have a lot of missing polygons on the edges of the blades. If lucky, you get mostly complete scan at the blade root.. *sob*
Not with a laser scanner. With the CR Raptor it’s now affordable for hobby use.
@@Todestelzerreally!? Okay thanks I go check this out.
Can you please share the stl file for practice?
