Sir Puka Temu calls for equal distribution of wealth in Papua New Guinea. He said of the infrastructure fund of K5 million each recently disbursed to all government MPs, only four Opposition MPs received it. Sir Puka continued that 3 million people that the majority of Opposition MPs were denied of these service funds. He urged Prime Minister James Marape and Treasurer Ian Ling-Stuckey not to 'weaponise the budgets' to disadvantage the Opposition MPs. When the alternative government is in power, he said, they will legislate to make DSIP and PSIP funds so they become constitutional grants which no PM in future can 'weaponise' it unlike at present.

Sir Puka you are right, that's the problem palemment needs to address it as soon as possible.. that's the main reason why many leaders have stayed in the government just to have their funds..To all the leaders in PNG : money is not going to solve the problem; the real problem is our leaders mindset and attitude; the country's problem is the result of our leaders mindset, attitude and lies.

Distribution of district's development funds to only governments members is seen as undemocratic.
These funds should equally be distributed to all members of parliament.
Not good for development of this country & democracy.
