Price is up to $150... I'm going to stick to the Reign 6 at $130. Plus Reign 6 fits my foot well with great grip. The last TYR 1 was to narrow for me. I'm curious on the additional 4mm or even in extra wide but i'm sure the extra wide in higher sizes will sell fast.
You’re lucky being in the US… in France it’s up to 165€ and even 180€, means 180 to 195 USD !!! 🤦🏻♂️👎 thanks VAT, thanks EU, definitely too much, I’ll stick to my Metcons, Dropsets and Nanos too
Have you had a chance to try the wide version of these yet? I’ve been debating either getting a new colorway of the Reign 6s or the wide version of these next. Thoughts?
Thank you - and I don’t think so, tbh. They’re not the most aesthetic shoes and idk if I’d ever realistically wear them so not worth spending the money on em 😬 tbd tho
Do you recommend these over the Nano X4? I’m a huge fan of the Reebok chassis system and notice the difference in comfort during short runs & walking all day
For sure. For CrossFit, think CF classes or programming that blends exercises used in CrossFit WODs that are more common in this context. For cross-training, this athletic-focused. A day such as, going to the gym, doing trap bar deadlifts, walking lunges, box jumps, then maybe conditioning like jump rope or sleds. The diff contexts can vary for versatility and durability asks out of shoes
Whats your opinion on just a general show for bodybuilding training? I use Rom 2s for weightlifting and don't do crossfit. The new games colorway looks sick but seems like maybe RADs are better?
Most can work! Just depends on the context. For example, it can matter more for things like heavy barbell OHP (wouldn't want a running shoe for that), but most training shoes and denser models should work just fine!
Thanks for the reply! For mainly dumbbell, machine and cable work for the upper body would you say it’s worth using actual training shoes like adidas dropset 2s, or are normal shoes that aren’t made for lifting like air max 270s okay?
@@PeterFitzenwell what’s your foot width? If narrow, go RAD. If you need more width, CXT. Both are great. RAD is a little more runnable with less density!
@@robertcooper7827 yeah, should be pretty dang comparable if you’re in the 9 now. Bit more flexible, yes, I don’t mind running short distances in them, for example 😂
@@thatfitfriend yeah I love the Metcon 9s for lifting but anything else they just feel too heavy and clunky, but surprisingly have opened up in the toe box after wearing them in and feel pretty good now. Gonna give the CXT-2 Wide a go and see how they feel. Just wanted to make sure they were atleast Metcon 9 width before since that needs to be the minimum for my toe box area.
hi here, i hesitate between thoses and the ballistic trainers from go ruck, wich ones have the most wide toe box ? because on my day to day life i wear barefoot shoes and want to have enough space for my toes in my training shoes. big thank s in advance ;)
I’m trying to decide between the same shoes. Currently use Altra Soltice. Have you ran any in either the Go Rucks or the Tyr? How do they feel in sub 400m runs?
@@housfly i tried the Go Rucks because i saw the answer from @thatfitfriend to late 😅 but they where not wide enough for me.. so i didn't even run with them but i was dissapointed about the wide argument.. wasn't wide at all to me that's all i can say.
Savage 1 if it’s the normal CXT-2. I haven’t tried the “extra wide” CXT-2 yet, though, so I can’t speak to that comparison. Will report back once they come in!

I’m grabbing a pair of the extra wides soon!
Glad you’re still loving the Reign 6s!
Thanks for the review :) do you think these would work well for high arches?
Yes, should be solid!
Have you had a chance to try the wide version of these yet? I’ve been debating either getting a new colorway of the Reign 6s or the wide version of these next. Thoughts?
I have not! Been trying to be conscious of my spend this money, but plan to get some in early August. What do you wear currently?
@@thatfitfriend I’ve been predominantly rocking the Reign 6s during my training sessions.
@@suede2009 imo, if you’ve been vibing with the 6s then I’d re-up. I’m big on if it ain’t broke don’t fix it!
The 2s will be here for a while!

@@thatfitfriend that makes sense. I keep looking at them wondering if there's something I'm missing 😞😅
Their shoes are soo pricey in Canada - but I like the look of them! I think they will be a long term player in the market
Yeah, they’re expensive af in Europe too
Do you recommend these over the Nano X4? I’m a huge fan of the Reebok chassis system and notice the difference in comfort during short runs & walking all day
Depends on your asks. For CF and lifting, these are superior. In terms of running performance, they won't be as good
When you do different ratings for "CrossFit" and "Cross Training"...I'm not sure what the difference is...would you please elaborate? Thank you!
For sure.

Great review... think I'll pass on these. Patiently waiting for the R.A D. 2. 😁
Idk, homie. You’d probably like these based on the shoes you prefer! I’d wait for a sale then consider em!
@@thatfitfriend - Yeah, that's the other issue... don't like any of the colorways yet. 😆
@@capt1941 I’m sure we’ll get a bunch soon enough!
Would you recommend it to use it with an orthotic insole for flat teet and if not, what training shoe do you recommend?
VIKTOS Core 2/Gym can be good so can the born primitive savage 1.
How thick is the insole?
Whats your opinion on just a general show for bodybuilding training? I use Rom 2s for weightlifting and don't do crossfit. The new games colorway looks sick but seems like maybe RADs are better?
Both can be great.
I'd go with these if you want more toe box room, though. RAD can run narrow
Jake have you picked up a pair of the CXT-2 Wide yet? Wondering about that width!
@@patricktokarski1058 not yet - it’s on my to buy in the next week or two!
When it comes to basketball shoes, the transparent bottoms always have less grip - as you said it might be the case with these as well
That’s kind of my hunch, too. Maybe the gloss/finish causes some issues!
I have size 9 for both Nike Romaleos 2 and Nike Flex Experience RN. Should I pick size 9 for CXT 2 in my case?
Yeah, I'd stay same size in these
Is there any particular training shoe you’d recommend for upper body workouts or would you say any would work?

I've been seeing Horvath train in Adidas Sambas or Gazelle(can't tell exactly). Will you review those for training?
I was going to do indoor soccer shoes eventually! I haven’t looked close enough to see which specific model she’s wearing
I thought i read somewhere that a carbon plate version with a 4mm drop will be releasing at some point. Have you heard anything?
I’m not not saying you’re on the money 😂
Hahaha nice! Well.....I guess I'll hold off on these then lol
If you get a chance would you be able to review the alpha trainer 6?
I can add them to my list!
